"I can't believe this." I muttered. "You guys are playin with my mind aren't you?"

Frustration wasn't merely enough to describe how I was feeling.

"You can't possibly think that we're making a joke out of this, do you?" Jessy looked hurt as she said that.

I couldn't find the door even though it was right in front of me. "You tryin to convince me that I've imagined a whole ass person and was gettin closer to him and that he's just a figment of my imagination?"

"Hallucination, Jack." Spencer chimed in. What was he here for? Didn't he have enough worries already?

I felt bad for thinking that. In the end, he was just trying to help me out. It was wrong. But it was right?

God, what the hell was happening to me?

It was like the angrier I got, the more confused I became, and the more my brain felt like it was distinct portions each doing a task, but they weren't doing it in harmony like they should have.

And for some God forsaken reason, Theodore was in my mirror whenever I looked at it.

"Jack. It's us. Your best friends," Jessy said softly, trying to be as cautious as possible. Why? I didn't know. "Why would we lie to you?"

A thought struck me.

"I'll call him for you guys. You'll see." I kept mumbling as I got my phone and searched the contacts.

My hands started shaking as I got closer to the letter T. All too soon, it was V then W, yet no Theodore showed up.

The shaking moved from my hand and to my whole body, albeit more like a shiver. "Somethin is definitely wron." it must've been a prank. They were all on it.

Spencer dialed a number on his own phone and moved away from the argument happening.

"You know me better than anyone," Jessy said, keeping her cool. She was right, I did, which made it all worse. "I wouldn't do such a thing to you. I mean sure I can see why you'd think Vanessa or Tyler or even Jane would do something like that. But it's us, Jack."

"Do you mean to tell me that no one went through my phone and deleted his number? For heaven's sake he runs a pet shelter downtown!"

Spencer seemed to have finished his call, and just took a seat and waited to see how things would unfold. Couldn't blame him, and honestly right then, I was thankful he wasn't adding bullshit to the situation.

The argument spanned a good half an hour more, until it got interrupted by a knock on the door.

Spencer seemed as if expecting it. He went right on and opened the door to none other than Professor Linda Peter-Grayson.
