Zero’s POV:
“You think she can save me?!” I ask her horrified. “Yes, we made a deal…the only way to stop you from becoming a level e…is for you to drink this woman’s blood.” She says still protecting that demon. “I promised I would give her my blood. Then I’ll become like you. I’m a little afraid but I’ll be fine. And then…you can be saved.” She says.
Akatsuki’s POV:
I walk back to the ball and bump into Takuma. ‘Oh, Kain! Why don’t you join us?” He asks as he dances holding hands with a group of girls and Senri and Rima. “Don’t want too.” I say. “Oh? That’s too bad.” He says. “I have business to attended to.” I say. The girls start to fight about switching places. A girl falls down. ‘Did you hurt your ankle?” Takuma asks helping her up. “No…I’m fine.” She says blushing. “Takuma a moment please!” I say pulling him aside. “You attracted all these girls! I hope you won’t eat them later!” I whisper to him. “How rude. I’m only being nice.” He says. ‘So what is this urgent business?” He asks getting serious. “I need to talk to Kaname first. “Kaname has me in charge of the new student. But if it’s something else…go ahead.” He says waving at me. “Seiren. Where is Lord Kaname?” I ask her. “He’s on the terrace is something wrong?” She asks. “Not really.” I say. Kaname’s not there.
Yuuki’s POV:
“Stay back!” I say to Zero. “Even if it’s true if I do drink her blood…it can be after I kill you half way. Shizuka…” He says. I drop my staff. “Zero...” I say. I have no right…to stop Zero. I grab his gun in one hand. “Move, Yuuki!” He tells me. I grip it tighter. “You’re going to stop me from killing a vampire?” He says. “No that’s not why…I don’t want to do this…” I say raising my bracelet to his neck. I know now…what Zero felt for the past 4 years. But… “I’m sorry!” I say as the magic starts to work. He grabs both my arms. “Why are you stopping me?! She should…!” He yells at me. Tears fill my eyes. “Yuuki…” He says. “She has tamed you…” Shizuka says. Zero eyes are wide and glares at her. “Are you happy you finally heard your master’s voice? You can’t help but obey me. I’m in my own body now. My voice has the power to bind you.” She says to Zero. ‘This is good. Keep holding Yuuki. You know don’t you? I made you. I’m your master. You can’t disobey me…Zero.” She says moving closer to us. The power to bind him? “Zero, let me…go!” I say struggling to break free. “You don’t need to force him to do this. I’ll let you drink my blood.” I say. “For 4 years this body has been ravenous…you really thought your blood would be enough?” She asks. She moves Zero’s shirts down and the rose in his pocket withers. She bites him in the same spot she did long ago. Zero…his eyes are full of pain and sorrow. “You said you only wanted my blood. Please don’t do this! Stop it!” I say. “You have tortured him enough! Why are you so cruel?!” I ask. She leans down still having on hand touching Zero’s bloody neck. “I’m punishing him for becoming so attached to you girls…Yuuki you say I’m cruel…but you are yourself. The choices you have made make him suffer…even I can see it.” She says leaning closer to my neck. “I…I thought if we were together everything would be ok.” I say forcing a smile. “Will you forgive me someday…?” I ask Zero. Zero lets me go and covers his eyes. “Don’t…” he says as he clenches her neck. “Zero!!” I say surprised. “You can’t do it. Just stay being my little puppet for now. You can’t even squeeze your fingers around my neck.” She says as Zero grabs the Bloody Rose with his teeth. The chain jangling. Zero shoots himself in the leg and tightens his grip on Shizuka. “…Take…” He says as he shoots her in the chest twice. I grab his arm. “Zero, no don’t!” I say. Shizuka laughs as she takes off a large ribbon from her Japanese style dress. “You want to kill me?” She asks. ‘Well this is not enough to do so.” She says. “…Anything…More Away From Me…” Zero says showing his fangs and ripping his arm from my grasp. He shoots her 3 more times. ‘I’ll finish it…I’ll end everything. R.I.P. Shizuka. I kept living for this day…’ He says aiming the gun at her heart. I run up and hug Zero. “Let go.” He says. “What are you going to do after this is finished?” I ask him worried what he might say. This is what I’ve wanted to ask him for a long time. ‘What will you do when this day is over?” I ask tears rolling down my face. “He doesn’t even need to think. Deep down in his heart, he knows…He wants to kill himself with me.” Shizuka says. “Yes…that may be…” He starts to say but a sword stabs his raised and armed arm. ‘Zero!” I say. “Lady Shizuka…why are you toying with him?” the masked man asks her. “Don’t interfere…keep out of this.” She tells him. He steps out of the shadows and I see he is holding Mizuki. “I understand. But I can’t accept the way to treat us so differently…” he says stroking Mizuki’s bloodied hair that had fallen out of place. “I…thought you were dead…Ichiru.” Zero says taking the sword out of his arm. “You know who I am…Zero? My older brother remembers me.” He says as he takes off his mask and lets it fall to the floor. He looks…just like Zero.
