Momoe's POV
"Hello! I'm over!" I walk into the boys' place without notice.
"Why is she over again? Wasn't she just here?" BamBam groans.
"Nice to know you appreciate my presence." I nod sarcastically as I plop down on the couch.
"Noona!" Yugyeom falls onto the couch beside me.
"Hey, Yugyeomie!" I hug him.
"Oh! Momoe's here!" Jaebum announces.
"Momoe!" I hear yelling down the hall and footsteps getting closer.
"Don't don't don't! AH!"
Jackson jumps onto me, crushing my body.
"Hello, my love!" He hugs me tight.
"You're heavy! Get off of me!"
"You're hurting her!" Youngjae tries pulling Jackson off but he struggles.
"It's okay, Youngjae. I got this." I motion for him to move over.
He lets go of his hand and stands to the side. Immediately, I push Jackson off and he rolls onto the floor. He groans in pain and I stand up, staring at him with my hands on my hips. I place a foot on his chest and he stares at me with wide eyes.
"I said 'don't', Jackson. Remember?"
"Yeah..."
"So what will you do next time?"
"Don't do it..."
"Good."
"That was pretty bad ass." Mark points at me with a knowing smirk.
"That's about all I can do. I'm not very strong in a fight. My only strength is gymnastics and languages." I laugh.
"You're in gymnastics?" Jinyoung walks into the room from the hallway.
"She's the captain!" Jackson informs.
"Oh wow! And it's your first year!" Jaebum stares at me with an impressed expression.
"Yeah! I was surprised too. This girl on my team hates me because I got the position she wanted."
"If she tries something, we'll beat her ass." Jackson smiles at me from the floor.
I stare at him as he kicks his feet back and forth while laying on his stomach. He has his chin propped up in both hands and he blinking at me like a child. I shake my head before looking up at Youngjae who speaks next.
"We should come to one of your competitions! I bet you're the best one out there!" He smiles.
"Aww that's very sweet of you, sunshine." I hold my hand out to him, lovingly.
"Yeah, we're going to one of your competitions. Your first one." Jackson points at me, sitting up in a criss cross position.
"It's not for another month and a half I think." I look at my phone then nod, "Yeah, not for another month and a half."
"We'll still go." Mark says.
"Whatever floats your boat." I shrug.
"Let's go out someplace! It's boring here!" Yugyeom groans, laying his head back.
"Jackson and I need to finish the assignment for class so we can't."
"Is it that project from the first time we met you?" BamBam asks.
"No, that one was the PowerPoint about the way people talk to one another and how it affects them. This one is just a small essay on how each language is unique in it's own way."
"Well, ice cream sounds good to me so... peace!" Yugyeom starts getting up.
"Aww! I want ice cream!" I pout.
"I'll go with Yugyeom to buy it. Want me to get you one?" Jinyoung stands up, looking over at me.
"O-oh okay." I blink in surprise.
"What flavor?"
"Surprise me." I smile.
"We'll be back then." He smiles back, motioning for Yugyeom to follow.
"Let's go start it because I know we're gonna be up all night." I laugh as I help Jackson to his feet.

"What?! An F?! How is that possible?!" I stare at my math test.
"At least your percentage is higher! I got three percent less than you!" Jia walks up to me and shows me her paper.
"This isn't possible. Coach is gonna kick our asses off the team if she sees this grade!" I start freaking out.
"You're captain. She loves you! She won't kick you off. It's me I'm worried about." She sighs, staring at her paper.
"Anybody who failed the test will have to do study hall tomorrow." The teacher announces.
Jia and I look at each other with wide eyes and I gulp.
"Tomorrow?" We ask at the same time.
"That's not good. Coach is going to scream." I run my hand through my hair.
"Well, I guess we'll have to tell her. We have no choice." Jia frowns.
"Do you want to come over to watch K-dramas so we can forget we got that score?" I smirk.
"That's what I like to hear." She smiles, pointing at me.
-
The next day, Jia and I stay after school to do study hall. We walk into the classroom to see four other girls there. I look across the room to see a girl with her light brown in a ponytail and a pencil and paper in front of her. She looks frustrated, a worried expression on her face as she taps the pencil against her paper.
Another girl with dark red hair sits a few seats away from her, passed out and drooling across the desk. Even though she's a mess while sleeping, her outfit is the cutest thing I've seen. I might need to wake her up to ask her where she got her jeans, whoops.
"Mrs. Myers, there has to be a mistake! My grade should not have been an F on this test! I studied for hours to make sure I passed!" A girl argues with the teacher in the front of the room.
"Miss Sohail, we all fail sometimes. The score isn't wrong. I'm sorry."
"Now I'm gonna have a 95% in class and I'm gonna have to work my way back to 100%!" She starts hyperventilating.
"Oh my goodness! Momoe, that's Brooklyn Sohail! She has the highest grades at our school! I'm surprised she's here. I wonder why she got such a low grade." Jia whispers to me.
I nod in approval. She's pretty too. Her silky blonde, almost white, hair makes her blue eyes shine. She looks almost like Elsa: pure and queen-like. She's average height, but I think she'd stand out in a crowd for sure.
A soft melodic hum comes from next to us and I look over to see a girl with blonde ombré hair and brown roots. She has earphones in as she hums the song she's listening to, nodding her head along with it. She has a notebook in front of her and I notice music notes on it.
"Everyone! I will be leaving for a small meeting. You may not leave the classroom until the time says six o'clock." With that, the teacher leaves.
"Well, let's go sit down somewhere I guess. We have three hours still." Jia walks over to a seat.
We sit beside the sleeping girl since she won't bother us in her state. Jia and I sit next to each other, facing one another to work on the assignment together.
After about half an hour, we get frustrated. I groan and lay my head on the desk, pouting as I think of the answer.
"Why are derivatives a thing?! It's even harder adding in sine and cosine! Why can't it be simple adding?!" Jia whines.
"Oh! I forgot the negative! I'm an idiot..." I mutter the last part, shaking my head at myself as I erase my mistakes.
"How're you so far ahead?!"
"I honestly just did silly mistakes and that cost me my score." I sigh as I write the actual answer.
"Excuse me?" An unfamiliar voice says.
We look up to see the girl with light brown hair standing in front of us with a paper and pencil. Jia and I look at each other in confusion before looking back at the girl.
"Yes?" I ask.
"You're in the derivatives problems now, right? Did you understand it?" She asks.
"Actually, Momoe just got the answer. What did you get?" Jia asks her.
"I got 7x." She reads her paper, scanning her work.
"Oh no. That's what I got at first too but you have to remember the negative so the answer should be this." I show her my paper as I explain.
"Oh! Thank you! I can't believe I'm becoming a math major and I can't even do math." She laughs nervously.
"Math major, huh? That's pretty cool." Jia nods in approval.
"Do you mind if I work with you guys? You seem to know the most about this math."
"Sure. Scoot the desk closer and we can form a group." I point to the desk behind her.
She pulls the desk over and connects it to ours then sits in the seat. She looks up at us and her eyes widen.
"Oh! Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Duyen Do." She bows a bit.
"Nice to meet you, Duyen. I'm Momoe and this is Jia." I smile.
She smiles back before looking down at her paper.
"Whoa... I made a puddle." A girl says with disgust in her voice.
We look over to see the red head is awake now. She wipes her mouth with her hand but notices we're staring at her while she does so. Her eyes look to the sides while she makes a fish face.
"Where am I?" She asks us.
"You're in study hall for Mrs. Myers." I inform her.
"Hey... You're Momoe Yoon, huh?"
"Y-yes I am." I blink at her.
"You know you're the talk of the school lately. I'm sure everybody knows you by now." She turns her body to fully face us, "I'm Maeum Cha. If you guys ever need any fashion advice, I'm your girl." She smiles confidentially.
"Talk of the school?" I ask.
"Even I know about you. There's word going around that you might be the greatest gymnast that's ever gone to this school. Is it true that you got the position as captain as a freshman and Helga lost the spot?" Brooklyn, I'm sure, turns around in her seat to talk to us.
"Yeah! You should've seen her audition! Everything she does for gymnastics is flawless! She's captain for a reason, huh, Mo?" Jia wraps her arm around my shoulders with a cocky smile.
"Oh, so you are Momoe Yoon. I thought you were just a rumor someone made up to get attention." A girl randomly pops her head over us, scaring the crap out of us.
"I didn't think you heard us with your earphones in." Duyen points out.
"I saw you guys gathering together and wondered why so I walked over." She shrugs.
"What's your name?" Maeum asks.
"I'm Jaslene." She answers.
"Your name is so pretty wow." My eyebrows raise in interest.
"Thank you! You're really pretty by the way." Her face reddens in embarrassment.
"Aww, thank you! Did you want to sit with us? Before Maeum woke up, Jia, Duyen, and I were working on the math assignment."
"O-okay." She grabs a desk and pulls it over to sit with us.
Eventually, we all start chatting away while working on the math. All of these girls are awesome and I really enjoy their company. We don't even notice it's past six with time flying so fast, fond of each other's company. We start packing up to leave when Maeum gasps.
"Girls, we should hang out again!" She says.
"Oh yes! Let's exchange numbers so we can stay in touch!" Jia suggests.
In a matter of five minutes, we get everyone's numbers. I smile at them, thanking them as we walk out of the classroom.
"Hey, um, Momoe?" Jaslene walks up to me, shyly.
"Yes? Is something wrong?" I look at her in worry.
"Oh no no! I-I was just wondering if I can hang out with you and Jia at lunch. O-only if you don't mind! You guys are really cool."
"Oh of course! We'd love that, huh, Jia?" I smile at Jia, elbowing her lightly.
"You bet! I want to get to know you. You seem like you're into music, am I right?"
She simply nods and Jia mimics her.
"You should suggest songs to me and I'll listen to them. That'd be amazing!"
"I'll write a list for you at lunch." Jaslene smiles.
"Thank you!" Jia squeals excitedly.
"Can I hang out with you too? Not gonna lie, you're the only people I can tolerate. Not even my team has seen this nice side of me." Duyen admits.
"Oh, you're in sports?" I look at her in surprise.
"Yeah, I'm part of the swim team."
"Oh that's so cool! I'm the captain of the archery team here!" Maeum tells us.
"You guys and your sports. Books are the way to go. They're our future." Brooklyn holds up her reading book and shakes it.
"Wait... We should all just hang out at lunch together." Jia looks at everyone to see if they agree.
"I don't mind. All I do is sit by my next classroom for lunch. I am usually there to stay away from everybody but... I like you guys." Duyen smiles.
"Aww! We like you too!" Maeum hugs her happily.
"Okay, too much hugging. Please don't hug me so tight."
"I can hang out with you guys, but I might be studying or reading the whole time." Brooklyn states.
"You'll eventually get used to us and join the conversations. I think it'll be a good thing for us to start hanging out." I say.
"Where should we meet?" Jaslene asks.
"Just text each other. Make a group chat and we'll find a spot that'll be our meet spot." Duyen suggests.
"Smart thinking." Brooklyn smiles at her.
"I try." Duyen shrugs.
"Okay we'll see you tomorrow!" Jia waves to them.
"Bye!" We say at the same time as we walk away in different directions.

The six of us become close during the next week. It feels like we've known each other forever. We even act like a bunch of dorks. I think we know everything about each other at this point. In such a little amount of time, it amazes me how quickly we got comfortable with each other. Even with my old best friends, it took me at least a month or two to even get their number.
