Momoe's POV
The next morning, I wake up in an unfamiliar yet familiar bed. The sunlight that squeezes through the blinds hits my eyes, making me squint. I groan and cover my face with the blanket, letting out a deep sigh. My eyebrows scrunch together when I realize that I'm in Korea at my mom's house and Jinyoung is here. Speaking of him, where is he?
I sit up and look beside me to see he's gone. I grab my phone and scroll through the notifications till I find his name. I sigh in relief when I find he's visiting his parents and didn't want to bother me since I was sleeping. I scratch my head and lock my phone before swinging my legs over the side of the bed to stand up. Sluggishly walking out the door, I yawn as I descend the stairs. My mom isn't home either, most likely at work, so I'm home alone.
"Alright... Let's see what she has for food..." I open the fridge to reveal that it's stocked with food.
My eyes widen and my smile widens. Now we're talking. A smirk appears on my face and a thought immediately strikes my mind. This seems like a k-drama day.
After I get comfortable on the couch with my snacks and juice, I put on Descendants of the Sun. Starting from episode eight, I binge watch about five or six episodes, soon making my heart hurt.
"LISTEN TO ME, MO YEON! WHY WONT YOU LIKE HIM?!," I yell at the TV, "HE'S GOOD TO YOU! LOVE HIM LIKE I DO MO YEON! LOVE HIM!" I cry in Japanese (that was the first language that my brain seemed to register), "He treats you so well... I just want you to love him unconditionally, baka." I mumble whilst looking at the screen displaying Mo Yeon.
I groan, bringing my knees to my chest and plopping my chin into the pillow that is in my lap then pout.
"Literally, you just need to work with him because he'll protect you! Jinyoung won't even kill the spider."  I huff out an annoyed breath, "I swear if I didn't have Jinyoung, I'd take him from you."
I stuff more popcorn into my mouth, continuing on with another episode.
"Wait wait wait no hold on!" I grip the bowl of popcorn harder, "NO! DONT LEAVE THEM BEHIND! NO! Wait, oh my god. No..."
Tears form in my eyes as I continue watching. I hear the door open, believing it's my mom. I jump up and yell still looking at the screen, switching to Korean.
"WAE~! WAE, EOMMA! I SWEAR, EVEN IN KOREA MY HEART IS GETTING BROKEN OVER STUPID MEN AND WOMEN THAT DON'T PERTAIN TO MY LIFE OR MY WELL BEING! BUT THEY HURT ME. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. LIKE WAE?! Aren't I a good person? Don't I deserve nice things?!"
I throw a fist full of popcorn at the tv.
"Your eomma will make sure you aren't alive if you don't clean up this mess. Geez... did a hurricane fly through here or something. I haven't seen you fangirl like this since Twilight came out and you made me watch it with you." I whip my head right back around and see Hoshi, chuckling as he stares at all of the wrappers on the floor.
"Oh haha... Annyeonghaseyo~ Mianhe, as you can see, my heart is feeling for this show and the characters. Shi Jin here is a soldier and he's like WOW, you know? AND HE'S JUST SO GOOD TO THIS GIRL AND SHE'S JUST... A PABO! LIKE I KNOW SHE IS A DOCTOR BUT I THINK SHE NEEDS TO GO TO ONE." She paces her head in her hands.
"Well... are you okay...? You know... from this show...?" Hoshi asks, sitting at the edge of my bed.
"Aniyo because my ovaries..." I look at my stomach, "exploded..."
I make my hands look like an explosion happened in my stomach.
My eyes widen and I quickly point to the frozen screen showing the soldier.
"BECAUSE OF THAT MAN!" I scream.
I walk up to Hoshi and grab his shirt, pulling him close to my face as I go insane.
"Listen, okay? This drama is so good, like the way that he can beat people up and defend her. But then, it's like either he or she always has to leave, so they can't be in a real relationship. BUT THEY KIND OF WANT TO BE! SO MY HEART HURTS BECAUSE ITS NOT OKAY! OKAY?! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY DIDN'T WANT TO SEE EACH OTHER BUT THEY GO TO THE SAME BASE TOGETHER AND THERE'S SO MUCH TENSION! BUT SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MY SHI JIN! SHI! JIN! Like aniyo I disapprove. Aniyo. JUST GIVE ME BACK MY SHI JIN!"
"Byeol-ah, are you on your period?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Ne..."
He laughs and pinches my cheeks slightly. I blink innocently, making him shake his head.
"You're too cute." He sits at the edge of my bed and pats next to it for me to sit.
"Hoshi-ssi?"
He hums in response. I sit next to him and lean my head on his shoulder. He tenses a bit and I feel him look at me.
"I missed you... a lot..." I mumble.
"I missed you too. I'm glad I got to see you again, even if it's temporarily."
"I'll be coming back on the holidays from now on. I was dumb to never come back. Mianhe."
"I forgive you. I'm just grateful to have you next to me. I've needed my best friend. I've needed YOU."
I look up at him in surprise and he smiles brightly. I smile back and grab his hand, squeezing it tight.
"We're still going on that tour, right?"
He laughs an nods.
"We will."
"What places do you have in mind?"
"That's a surprise~"
"Hoshi-ah!" I whine, making a pouty expression as I hit his arm.
"Byeol-ah!" He mimics me.
