Kate's POV.

Surprisingly when I go downstairs to the kitchen, I see both of my parents down there. Usually they'd be at work at this time which is why I'm shocked when I see them both still here.

“Hey, how come you guys aren't at work?” I ask them out of curiosity while I head towards the fridge to make myself breakfast.

“We have late shifts tonight so we decided to take a break in the morning. How was the club the other night?” My mom questions. Yes, I did tell her that I went to the club with Rachel because she doesn't care if I go with friends. She knows I won't do anything stupid- well anything really stupid at least.

“It was good... As usual.” I simply respond back, sparing the details.

“Who did you guys go with?” She asks. Of course she knows there's more to the story. I feel as if sometimes mom's know a little too much.

“Um.. With Mark and Justin.” I cooly reply but on the inside, I'm a nervous wreck because I know my parents like Justin so I don't need them nagging me about him more than how they already do. I mind because I just don't like thinking about my feelings. That's a path that I don't go on often- or ever.

“Oh so like a double date?” She brightly smiles.

“No. We we're just hanging out as friends..” I plainly respond.

“Well you shouldn't lead on the poor boy like that.” My father speaks as he shakes his head in disapproval.

“I'm not leading him on? Were'd you get that from?”

“Well for starters he's always helping your mom and I with whatever we need like carrying groceries, helping to fix the car, and also by the way that he acts around you. Don't lead him on if you feel nothing for him.” My dad tells me.

“I'm not leading him on, we're just friends and he doesn't care about me like that. It's fine, okay?”

“Okay.” Both of my parents mumble at the same time.

I've been bored out of my mind all day. Justin had work today and Rachel was with her boyfriend so I practically had nothing to do besides catch up on some tv shows- not that I'm complaining but it can get boring at times.

I did spend a little bit of my time with my parents but they've already gone back to work so I'm in the same situation that I was before: bored.

I know Justin's going to get here soon because he doesn't get out of work that late which is good for myself and my boredom.

“Kate?” I hear Justin yell from somewhere around the house. I spring up from my bed and start running down the stairs, trying to find where he is, and once I see him, I take no time but to wrap my arms around his neck.

“Are you sure you have to work everyday?” I practically pout once I release the tight hold that I didn't realize I had him in. He wasn't complaining though.

“Yes, why? Did you miss me?” He asks with a smile on his face that's wide enough to show his small dimple.

“Okay maybe a little.” I smile up at him. Wow I'm in a good mood today, that's a first.

“Hmmm.. She finally admits something.” He licks his lips right after he finishes talking which makes me lean in forward and press my lips against his own.

He, of course, reacts quickly and slides his tongue inside my mouth but before things get too heated, I pull away.

“How was your first day?” I question.
