                      B O N N I E

yet another high school day. i just started my sophomore year and turned 16. i quite like school to be honest. classes like history and biology fascinate me, not as much math and physics tho but i still like them.

i was taking notes while my teacher was writing all the facts down on the blackboard for students, who were actually here to learn, to copy into their notebooks.

i felt a little thingy hit the back of my neck that caused me to turn around immediately. i saw a familiar face grinning at me. bailey. my best friend since 8th grade. i smiled back, when she pointed at the small piece of paper on the floor, meaning for me to pick it up and unfold it. i quickly bent down and brought the little note to my desk. i waited until my teacher got busy again with writing down some more sentences, that were probably important for a high score on our upcoming exam, before unfolding the tiny ball of paper.

"Alone with Luke tonight? ;)"

i blushed at the thought of tonight's happening. it was true, luke and i were going to spend the night alone together because andy and mom were going on a date and probably weren't coming home till late after midnight. as for my brother ian, he was at his girlfriend's house. i still didn't know if i was excited or scared of being home alone with luke, since anything could happen. either we somehow set the whole entire place on fire or share a really romantic moment that i'll remember forever. most likely the first one. the second one is too dreamy. now why would we set the whole house on fire you might ask. because we're the clumsiest most forgetful people in the entire world, because we once almost did.

it was a cold wintery sunday afternoon when the idea of baking some christmas cookies came into mind and i had to drag luke to help me. let me just tell you, it started off real professional.

"Alright we need 2 large eggs-"

crack. and that's all i heard before the gross slime-like texture of an egg slipped down the front of my face. i was left with my eyes closed and mouth open, successfully not getting any of the liquid into my insides. luke was already cracked up laughing at clapping as if i were a comedian who had just told a really funny joke.

"Look at your face, Bonnie look at yourse-"

he continued on cry laughing without noticing that i had already grabbed an egg myself and were ready to smash it onto his head also. so i did and got my victory. to keep things short before succeeding to put the, in my opinion, good looking cookies in the oven, we had a full on food fight that was a pain in the ass to clean but worth it cuz at the end he gave up which meant i won! now you see, when you put something in the oven you should keep and eye on it and make sure it doesn't get burnt and we did plan on doing that, really. so we decided to wait on them to bake and watch a christmas movie. bad idea. we ended up falling asleep cuddled up against each other, my head on his chest and his arms wrapped around me, only to be woken up by the smoke detector beeping its life out. we had a long "conversation" with our parents that night, after the whole house being smoked up and our "accident" with the fire extinguisher, where there was no fire. yeah, we still blame it on panic till this day.

i was brought back to reality when my english teacher loudly called out my name. "Bonnie? Miss Foster, are you alright?" she asked. i quickly shook my head due to confusion. "N-No no, I'm fine" i gave back a quiet and stuttering answer, whilst my weak smiled showed the tiniest bit of my dimples. i tend to stare into space, for god knows how long when i'm daydream. happens alot.

the woman just nodded at me a bit unsure but continued to write something down on her laptop. a breath of relief escaped my lips as i laid my eyes back onto the small table. i saw the paper again and immediately remembered that i should have written an answer back ages ago but instead i decided to think about luke.
