"Are you okay?"

He didn't say anything for a while. She didn't recognize him. Of course she didn't, what was he talking about? He was covered in filth and he was a lot skinnier. She crouched down in front of him, and held her hands out.

"Are you deaf?" She asked, both with voice and sign language, genuenly worried. He shakily moved his hand and put it on her shoulder. With his other hand, he moved it up to his face, trying to move away his bangs.

"Ze..." he began before he started caughing furiously. She gasped and took off her coat. She wrapped it around him, under the blanket. She looked through her bag and took out a water bottle and held it out to him. He looked at her and cleared his throat. He continued at he was doing. He pushed away his long bangs to the back of his head. Her eyes widen, realizing. "Zel...da, Thank... you. I'm sor...ry." His voice was husky and slightly raspy. He hadn't spoken in what felt like months, maybe years.

"L-Link?" She asked, her hand covering her mouth and tears at the brim of her eyes. He nodded slowly and gave her a smile. She leaned in closer to him and touched his face. Her touch was warm, and Link slightly leaned into it, grasping for warmth. She started sobbing and hugged him tightly.

"I'm sorry, Zel," He said, hugging her too. She ran her hands through his dirty hair.

"Don't apologize, I'm sorry," She whispered in his ear. "I'm so sorry it took me so long to come back. I won't leave you ever again."

"Zel? What are you doing hugging some stranger?" He looked forwards to find a group of four girls looking at them. Two of them had blonde hair, but one wore blue and the other pink. One had blue hair and the last had green hair.

"Wait, is that the homeless guy you were talking about?" The blue haired one asked.

Zelda moved away and smiled at him. "He's not homeless anymore."

"Come on, ladies, let's go," the green haired one smiled.

"We'll see you tomorrow, Zel," the taller blonde in blue said. They walked away as Zelda sighed. She moved over next to him and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. She slowly lifted him up, hoping that he was a little heavy. But, it felt like he was her own weight. She dragged him to her car, and sat him in the front seat. She closed his door and walked to the driver and drove to the nearest store. The whole time, she was holding Link's hand.

"I'm gonna go buy some clothes for you, okay?" Zelda said as she parked next to clothes store.

"Okay, are we going to the Mushroom Kingdom?" Link asked.

Zelda shook her head and smiled. "We're going back to our house, Link. Remember? The house we lived in together for three years, the house where I got to know you." Link widened his eyes and nodded slowly. Zelda gave his hand a good squeeze before leaving to buy his clothes.

Link leaned back on his chair. He looked at his hands. They weren't as purple anymore, probably because he was actually warm during winter for once. He put his hand on his head. She actually kept her promise. She found him, and she's helping him. And he called her a liar. How pitiful of him, how could he doubt her? She was the only person his age that treated him with love and respect, and still is. He couldn't help but let some tears fall, as he started blaming himself for being so mean to her years before. He felt a hand on his cheek and he looked to see Zelda staring at him with worry.

He hadn't even noticed when she got in. He put his hand on top of hers and smiled. She returned the smile and wiped his tears. She put the clothes on the back seat, next to his wet blanket. She held Link's hand even tighter as she drove to their home. She parked in the driveway and got out of her seat. She walked over to Link's side and helped him out. She unlocked the door and turned on the lights. It looked exactly like how he remembered it. Good old mansion, he thought.
