"Link, wake up, we have to go somewhere."
He slowly opened his eyes and sat up. Zelda gave him a smile and patted his head.
"What's wrong? Where are we going?" Link asked.
"I'm taking you to the hospital, just to make sure there's nothing wrong," Zelda said. Link nodded and stood up. Somehow, he was still a little taller than her. She took him to the bathroom and let him do his business.
She walked downstairs and made them some breakfast. She set it on the table once Link came down. They ate in silence and Zelda took their plates once they were done. She grabbed her jacket and Link's. They walked out to the car and drove away to the hospital. Zelda checked in and they waited in the waiting room.
"So, what are they gonna do to me?" Link asked.
Zelda shrugged. "They're probably gonna do a normal check up, then a blood test. They might check your hair for any lice, and make sure you don't have an STD. Maybe even some X-rays, to make sure you don't have any broken bones. They're definitely gonna check for any infections."
Link started shaking. He wasn't a big fan of needles. Or doctors in general. "A-alright." Zelda held his hand tightly, and that made him calm down a little.
"It'll be alright, don't worry," Zelda smiled. Link nodded and took a deep breath, calming himself down.
"Mr Link Gale? We're ready for you," a nurse called. Link jumped a little and started shaking again. Zelda giggled and they followed the nurse. She lead them to a room filled with all kinds of gadgets and a chair right in the middle. Link started taking in deeper breaths.
"The doctor will be joining you soon," the nurse said and closed the door. Zelda sighed and leaned against the wall. She told Link to sit on the chair, just so the doctor knew he was checking him. The door opened and a short man came in with a mustache and white doctor robe.
"Hey Dr Mario," Zelda said.
"Hello, Zelda, what a pleasure it is to see you," Dr Mario said, shaking her hand.
"This is Link, you'll be checking him," Zelda said, giving Link a reassuring smile. Link took faster deep breaths. Dr Mario nodded and sat on a stool next to Link. Link looked away, beads of sweat rolling down his head.
"From what my nurses said, you were homeless, yes?" Dr Mario asked. Link nodded. "Alright, we'll do a regular check up, than a blood test, then..." Link tuned him out, because if he kept going it was gonna give him a panic attack. He looked at Zelda, who was looking down. She noticed him staring and smiled back. Link blushed and smiled back.
"Let's get started!" Dr Mario said. Link gulped and nodded.

"I'm sorry if all those needles hurt," Zelda said. They had just finished Link's appointment, and they sure did a lot of things to him, including a lot of needles. They were coming back next week for more. Link's anorexic hands and feet were gently wrapped in clean bandages, and he was sitting in a wheel chair. He could walk, but because of the frostbite, it was recommended that he didn't.
"It's alright, it was for my own good, I actually feel kinda better now," Link shrugged it off. "I can get strong and healthy! Just like old times!"
Zelda laughed a little, then she looked down. "You don't know how lucky you are, Link."
"Lucky? I'd call myself anything except that," Link scoffed.
"No, really. You merely got away with minor frostbite, asthma, slight back pain, starvation which I'll make sure won't happen anymore, slight dental problems that I promise we'll get fixed, and small infections-"
