Patton Williams lived an normal life, he lived in an normally boring town with no one interesting to talk too. He was often seen staring off in space wishing for an more eventual life.
"Patton.. earth to Patton!" He snapped out of his daze and stared at his ex's Logan bored face, you see they both used to date back in the day but they surely found out that it was just better as friends and there was no need to change it, however he would catch Logan stares at him and often Logan can get too touchy but he doesn't say anything as Logan still trying to process the breakup.
"Hiya logie.. I must've passed out." He said sheepishly and Logan rolled his eyes, "the teachers about to enter, get out your books." As much as Logan hated it he was very much like an mother to Patton and Patton loved it, it was always nice to be looked out for even if his not the people who weren't supposed to do it. Patton fished out his textbooks as it was history, he sighed as this was the more boring subject ever.
You see Patton lived in a world where you celebrate where you come from, you wear the colours of the flag and only allowed to know everything about that country nothing else, Patton lived in Scotland and he knew practically every thing Scottish, despite the society wishes he often try and learn more about other countries but laws were strict books where only printed with Scottish facts and nothing else, Patton wore as his parents make him, wear an blue blazer which he always wrap around his waist and has blue tips in his hair what he hated, Logan wore blue as well and was very proud of his Scottish blood that ran through him, sporting an blue polo and wore his dark blue blazer with pride.
He sighed and looked at yet again another Scottish war that they had won again the English, they were the Scottish rivals as they were often refereed as British or Scotland wasn't an real country, he gritted his teeth in anger, there was no need for all this anger against other countries.. none at all.
"Class we have two new students," the teacher said just before the bell rang, the class looked up to see two boys standing there, one tall and scrawny and sloughed and one tall aswell but stood confident and had an smirk, they both wore red and Patton could feel the hate radiating off his class mates and he even saw an glare in Logan's eyes. Patton stared in shock they didn't even know these people yet they were judging them.
"Alright what's yer names?" The teacher drawled and the confidence one spoke up first and Patton gasped loudly. His accent wasn't British.. nor was it anything he had heard before it was southern sounding and had an drawl to it."my name is Roman sanders and This is my brother." He pointed at the sloughing one." Virgil." The teacher stared in disbelief at Roman as he spoke." And we are from America." He said and Patton froze.
America..?
How..?
America wasn't an country Patton knew about.. he stared at the boys as even the teacher looked confused on what to do, "how did ye both get past the gates.. your no welcomed here." He spat and Virgil glared and stepped closer but Roman stopped him. "We are here to visit.. aren't we allowed to do that?"
"Naw! Yer immigrants.. looking to steal our stuff!" One class mate shouted and another." Get oot of our country you fat pig!" Living in an world like this came prejudice and stereotyping.. he didn't know what his classmate meant of "fat pig." But he did know of the English "all are posh and drink tea." He knew it was real because he was taught that by his parents..
Virgil rolled his eyes. "Shut up we are here now." His voice like an whisper, wrapping itself around Patton as it enticed him.. Patton stared at the other closely, he was pale more pale than him and he didn't wear red.. nor any colour that's on an flag it was like an deep deep blue but darker Patton eyes widen. It was the most beautiful colour he had even seen..
The teacher walked out of the class probably getting advice on to deal with immigrants like them both. Patton stared at they sat down and began discussing the one in red Roman looked almost cocky and leaned back in his chair like some big shot while Virgil sat in front of Patton looking very annoyed, suddenly Virgil Misty green eyes landed on him and he jumped in surprise. "Eww get yer eyes aff him you pig!" He heard an familiar voice shout and looked and saw Logan glaring daggers at Virgil. Virgil looked confused not used of hearing Scottish slang but Patton wasn't going to help him anytime soon, he glances down and stared at his desk. Virgil turned around and started talking with his brother once more.
"The nerve of that guy am I right Patton?" Logan said sitting next to Patton but Patton wasn't listening..
American..
Southern yet different accents..
Beautiful.. new colours..
Roman looked at Patton and saw he was staring, he winked at him and Patton flashed an confused look at him.. Americans were so wired..
An bright smile flashed on his face
Yet so beautifully different at the same time.
