(Cameron's POV)

I lay on my bed, worried about what happened today at school. I have to protect her. I need to. What happened today, may happen again, but I'm no gonna let that happen. I can't.

I let out a frustrated sigh and sat up, elbows on knees, head in hands. Well, at least she liked my motercycle...kinda...

Shouts and hoots from down stairs snapped me back to the present and I got up to see what was going on. I found the back door open and the noise came from there. "Shit." I ran over to the basketball court to find Shane and Rob at it again. Shane and Rob are total opposites and have always hated each other. It sucks cause I'm really close to both of them and I hate choosing sides. I cringed at the sound of Rob punching Shane in the nose. "Idiots."

"I know right." I turned to see Jordan shake her head in disappointment at the scene ahead. "Thankgod you got here just in time! I swear two other guys were thinking of joining. Idiots." I chuckled and went over to stop the fight.

"Whoa, boys! Cool it!" I pushed both of their chests, making them stumble back. Shane tried jumping back on Rob, but I grabbed his t-shirt just in time. "Stop!" I yelled, using my alpha voice. They backed away, bowing there heads in respect. I smiled poitley. "Thankyou. Rob, come with me." He gave me a confused look, but had no choice but to obey.

He followed me up to my room and I slammed the door closed. "Dude, you gotta stop fighting people!"

Rob put his hands up in defense "Sorry, man, but it's all Shane's fault!"

"You can't blame everything on him." I shrugged, "Besides, if you're gonna be my beta one day you're gonna need to stop fighting. I can't always cover for you! My dad will find out and bam, there goes your chances."

He looked down, shaking his head. "I know, Cam, sorry. He just.." Rob clenches his fists,"He just gets on my nerves so fuckin' much! I wanna fuckin' rip his head off!" He growled, eyes going black.

"Shit man! You have a mate to think about!" His eyes sofened and I let out a relieved sigh. "Jordan doesn't like it when you fight..."

His shoulders sunk in defeat. "I love her man, so fucking much."

"I know...trust me, I know how you feel." Even though I just met Taylor yesterday, she's my mate and I know I love her. I know it sounds cheesy, but she lights up my world! A goofy grin spread across my face as I thought about Taylor.

"Cameron." I shot my head up, remembering Rob was in the room. "Who is she and why havn't you told me yet?" I started pacing back and forth, my smile returning.

"Her name's Taylor."

He smirked, "Oh, the new girl? Wow." Rob started laughing and plopped on my bed. "I wouldn't have guessed" He whispered.

I sat next to him. "Yeah...she just is so reluctant about the whole 'mate' thing. I don't know what to do!" I ran a head through my hair and and looked at Rob, waiting for advice.

"Just let ler get used to the whole thing, ya know? Take her on dates, make her realize just how much of a nice guy you are." He held a straight face, but started laughing again.

I frowned at him. "Hey, man, not cool! I'm a nice guy!" He looked at me and barked out another laugh. "That's not fair, I am a nice guy!" I whined. When he still didn't stop laughing, I punched him in the stomach. "Jerk. Now get out so I can go to bed."

He tumbled off my bed in pain I chuckled as he slowly stood up, craddling his stomach and walked out, shutting the door behind him.

I sigh and layed back down, hands resting behind my head. Where would I take Taylor on a date? Should I play it safe? What if we go to the movies? No, she'll probably think that I want to make out with her...I really do though! I wonder what it would be like to kiss her...I smacked myself. Cam, snap out of it and think! Where else? I yawned and my eyes lids drooped down. Maybe I'll think about it later...
