"Get up, lazy,"
"Mrmnmnm..."
"Come on, I'm gonna make your life a living hell if you skip out on me,"
I sat up to face Artie, "Why are you waking me up so early, the ball doesn't even start until 7,"
"Because we have places to go, and things to do,"
"Like what?"
"Er, well you see... I sort of forgot to get a dress," She gave a guilty smile.
"No way! That's hilarious. Okay, let me get dressed and we'll go shopping,"

I got up and got dressed. I wore just a simple outfit, but made sure that I looked like I had money this time. You see, high end dress shops tend to neglect their less wealthy looking customers. When I went to get my dress, I thought it might be good to wear clothes that were easy to change in and out of. That was a mistake, the people treated me like I couldn't afford anything. That was definitely a new experience.

"I'm ready, lets go!" I yelled from the top of the stairs.
"Where are you off to?" Draco said, emerging from his bedroom.
"My sister doesn't have a dress, so we need to do some last minute shopping. Do you need anything while we're out? Perhaps a new dress?" I teased.
"Ha ha, very funny. Be back by 12, my mother has planned some sort of family brunch meeting,"
"Okay, we'll try," I ran down the stairs and to the fire place where Artie was.

We walked around looking for the dress shop, and when we found it, I couldn't believe what I saw. Pansy Parkinson's ugly mug, stuffed into a gown, peering at me through the glass and cursive letters. We walked into the store and Artie started to look at dresses. I couldn't help but stare as Pansy denied every dress her mother suggested. She refused to try on anything else. Yelled at the worker and demanded more dresses. The worker came back with a pitch black gown. Pansy left to try it on and when she came back, she looked so happy with herself. I almost vomited. The dress fit her nicely (even though it was ugly) , but she still looked like herself. Like lipstick on a pig.

//please note: some of these dresses are for 12 year olds, so they may seem suitible for a child :)//

It was elegant and pretty..
"Do you think this one will do?" She asked.
"Yeah, go try it on"
When she stepped out of the fitting room, I couldn't have ever imagined it. My tomboy, badass sister looked like a character from a fairytale.
"Wow, you look like a girl," I said.
"Shut up, does it look good? I need to look 'mature' and 'regal' according to Father. So, what do you think?"
"I think it looks fine, not too much not too little,"
"Okay, good. Because I'm not putting another dress on. It's a pain in my ass getting those things on,"
We walked to the register and paid.
"There's the Artie I know, for a second I thought you were into the whole dress shopping thing,"
We left the store.
"Not in a million years, I hate dresses, why can't I just wear normal clothes,"
"I swear, I can just imagine you walking down the aisle at your wedding in sweats and a t-shirt. Your husband-to-be smiling and eating ribs in his PJ's," I joked as we walked down the street.
"Haha, yeah..." She looked off and gave a half hearted laugh. I felt like I had said something that hurt her feelings.
"Sorry,"
"What?"
"I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, I have a tendency to let my mouth run,"
"No, it's just... nevermind,"
"What?"
"It's nothing, really."
"Well obviously it's something, you can tell me,"
"...well it's almost 11:30, we should get back. I'm going to need time to find some 'appropriate' clothes for Narcissa's breakfast meeting thing,"
