Ahhh, "The Home for Troubled Teens" sounds... homey. After retrieving my bike, whilst being escorted by the lovely Deputy Parish, I made my way to my new home. It's a two story, white house, and although it looks older than most people that live in this town, it still looks better than homes I've lived in before. I kind of like this town, mostly because half of it is covered in woods, and I've lived in the city, surrounded by concrete for my whole life.

After the usual introductions with my new foster mom, Ms. Black, a kind older woman that I can't see anyone disliking, I decide to change and check this town out. It's already early Saturday morning, since it took most of the night to get through paper work, and of course to get my bike.

I finally change out of my sweats and work out gear, rinse off in the shower, and get changed into a pair of blue skinny jeans with my combat boots. I throw on a bra and zip up my maroon hoodie over it.. I don't exactly have a clean shirt to wear at the moment, seeing as I didn't expect to move so suddenly, but a hoodie will work for just taking a walk.

Right when I'm about to walk out of my new room, I hear a creak on the floorboard under my foot. Unapplying and applying pressure, it creaks again. I squat down and flip the corner of the area rug, trying to see if one of the boards lifts. And what do you know, I got myself a secret compartment. I open it up and find someone's stash of weed, "Score," I mumble, opening the bag and checking out its contents. After throwing the bag of drugs in my jacket pocket, and refilling the secret compartment with my cash from fighting, I head downstairs and out the back door. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm normally not the type to do any drugs, save for the couple of cigarettes that I had when I was "experimenting" but I've had a stressful weekend so far, so why not?

After rolling a joint and lighting it, I walk deeper into the forest that is behind the foster home, making sure that I stay on the trail, because I have no survival instincts when it comes to nature. I keep walking until I heard a twig snap, making me quickly turn my head in that direction. "Hello?" I ask. Oh yea, smart thing to say Corinne, not like a serial killer or bear is gonna say "hey, I'm right here!". Stupid, stupid stu- my thoughts get cut off as I see a pair of glowing red eyes. I stare at them for a minute, then look at the joint in my hand, then back at the eyes, squinting to try and figure out if I'm just seeing shit, or if this is real. Within the blink of an eye, the red eyes disappear. "Yikes, I need to stop smoking this shit," I mutter as I throw the other half on the ground and step on it.

Slowly it starts to rain, and I instantly regret even leaving the house, let alone going into the woods. I start to turn to leave, but instantly stop as I hear a growl from behind me. I slowly turn my head, to see what looks to be... a wolf.. man? "Oh, shit," I deadpan as I hear another growl, instantly turning and sprinting in the other direction, further into the woods. As I'm sprinting as fast as humanly possible, I try to think of how to get out of this situation, since there's no way I can keep outrunning this animal. Up ahead I see a tree that I can probably climb, and think to myself wolves can definitely not climb, thank you humans, for having thumbs. I make it to the tree and climb up, almost making it to a branch that the creature can't reach, until it somehow yanks me back to the ground, having me land on my stomach, as well as knocking the wind out of me. HOW THE HELL DOES THIS WOLF HAVE THUMBS I think, but I quickly turn around onto my back to try and scoot away.

That's when I feel an unimaginable pain going through my right leg, and left shoulder. The fucker has his claws in me! I struggle to try and get out of its grip, trying everything from jabbing my thumbs into his eyes, and kicking in between it's legs, hoping that it'll have the same effect on an animal, that it does on a human. Unfortunately, I only seem to piss it off, because the next thing I know, it's biting into my rib cage, causing me to scream out in pain.

It stays on for a moment, much to my displeasure, until suddenly a howl is heard from somewhere deeper in the woods. It unhinged it's jaw from off my torso, causing me some relief, and runs off in the direction, leaving me bleeding out onto the forest floor, with rain pouring down on me.

As I lay on the forest floor, trying to figure out what to do, and what direction to go in, I finally decide that I have to get up and start moving before a whole pack of whatever the hell that was comes back for me.

I stand with the help of the tree that I had attempted to climb earlier, and take a few steps. After making it a few yards back towards the house, I suddenly feel a burning pain from where the animal had bit me. Screaming out, I fall to the forest floor, laying on my back. My only release to this pain being the grip I have on the soil and fallen leaves, and my excruciatingly loud screams.

Finally, just as the pain starts to become too much, with my vision filling with black dots, I see a figure walking towards me, "Well, what do we have here?" is the last thing I hear before I can't keep my eyes open any longer, welcoming the darkness that takes me away from the pain.
