MONDAY AFTERNOON:
I wake up really late it's like
1:30, but it's not like I'm going to school. I smell BBQ and instantly get suspicious, I jump out of bed and put on my black silk robe with my initials on the back in blood red. My hair is a mess so I put it up in a messy bun and put my white bunny slippers on then make my way down stairs.
I see smoke coming from our patio door and decide to follow it. When I turn the corner I see Levi over the grill cooking chicken. I lean on the patio door frame watching him take the cooked chicken off and putting it on a plate. I sneak up behind him and take a chicken wing he took of the grill first. He looked at the plate then scratched his head.
"Where did that chicken go?" He looked so clueless, it was funny. I ducked into the kitchen so when he turned around he wouldn't see me.
"That's so odd, I thought I had 20 pieces." He shook his head and placed another piece on the grill still confused. I pulled a stool from the kitchen island and sat a little ways behind him still eating my chicken.
"I hope you plan on putting BBQ sauce on this." I say unimpressed and with a sly smile.
Levi jumped dropping his tongs on the patio ground getting grease all over it. "Well good afternoon to you to!" He said slightly mad that I made him drop the tongs.
"You better clean that up or our parents will have your head." I say this with a know it all attitude as I've said this line many times before when he makes messes.
Levi sighed then leaned down to pick up the tongs and clean the grease when we heard a twig snap.
A big black wolf came out of the forest surrounding our house and into the clearing. It snapped it's teeth several times before coming any closer. Levi got into a protective stance ready to fight and asked the wolf what it wanted.
"What are you doing on my land wolf?" He yells across the clearing and the words echoing between the trees and bouncing back to the house. The wolf just snapped it's teeth again then steeping forward causing Levi to move closer to me.
"I demand you to shift!" Levi was getting angry with the wolf. The wolf backed into the Forrest and came out a man... Or so I thought. Levi gasped and whispered.
"Get in the house now Claire." It looked similar to the thing that had attacked me yesterday according to Michaela's drawing.
I slowly back into the house as Levi followed suit in front of me never taking his eyes off that thing. Another twig snapped from the tree lines and a wolf jumped out and attacked the thing standing before us. When the wolf knew the thing was dead he went to the tree line to shift and change.
"I am Dalton, Beta of the Silver moon pack. I'm here before you to speak with your father, Claire it's about these things. May I come in?" He had honesty written on his face, and was at a respectable distance. Plus he just saved my life, from that thing. I look to Levi for an answer and he just shrugged.
"Beta Dalton of the Silver moon pack, you may enter my pack house. You are now under our security, my father is in his study." I speak clearly with no hesitation and stepping to the side so he could enter.
Dalton bows before moving then enters our pack house and goes straight to my dad's study. Levi looks at me with a warm smile.
"I knew you'd do the right thing, now let's get this chicken and get inside before we have another incident." Me and Levi set up plates and silverware on the dinning room table while I make mashed potatoes, corn and noodles.
After he's done setting the table he joins me making the rest of the food and putting it out on the table.
I go to my dad's study to get my mother, father, Levi's parents, Zach, and Dalton for a late lunch. I ask my dad with concern.
"Are we putting more boarder patrols out now cause of what happen?" He nodes yes and I knew it was going to happen, something's happening and I'm the cause.
I run to the grand stairs to yell up for Michaela when she starts coming down saying, " What smells so good?" He eyes filled with confusion and want for food.
"Levi and I made food, come down and eat." I say while laughing at her facial expression.
