*Luke POV*

After we finished dinner, I decided I would go up to my room to call my girlfriend, Nina. Ever since I told her I was bisexual, it seems like she's avoiding me.

The phone rings a couple times before she answers.

"H-hello?" She asked

"Hey, Nin, wanna come over later? I haven't seen you in a while, babe." I answer.

"Umm, yeah sure. What time?"

"Uh, well my parents are going out tonight around six so, whenever really. I'm sure they won't mind you coming"

"Okay, um, I guess I'll come around five."

"Okay, see ya then, babe." I hear an 'okay' before she hangs up.

4:48pm

I hear a light knock on the door while I was watching TV in the living room.

"I got it!" I yell so my mom would hear.

I open the door and embrace Nina in a hug. I haven't seen her in weeks. We only texted.

She seemed a little surprised by the hug.

"Hey" she said.

"Hi." I reply "I haven't seen you in a while. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I've just been..busy." She said.

"Oh, well, do you wanna just watch movies and hang out?" I ask

"Yeah, sure."

After watching a couple movies, Nina decides to go to the restroom

*Ashton's POV*

After eating dinner with the Hemmings family I decided to stay in my room for a while. I barely even know these people. I didn't even talk through the dinner.

Ugh. Don't I have to go to that new school tomorrow? I mentally ask myself

I really just want to sleep for the rest of my life. I hate school. Everyone at my old school were fake.

Today was a really long day.

I decide to go downstairs to find something to drink.

I walk into the living room and Luke is sitting on the couch looking straight at the TV.

"Um, where do you find the cups?" I ask.

"Oh, they're in the cabinet above the oven, to the right." He replies. It takes me a couple of seconds to comprehend what he just said.

"I'll just go with you and show you the drinks too." He said with a smile. I think he noticed how confused I was.

We walk into the kitchen and he grabs three cups.

"Why three?" I question with a light smile.

"Oh, well my girlfriend, Nina, is here." He replies.

My smile drops but I don't know why.

"Okay, we have OJ, AJ, and CJ! My family pretty much drink that mostly. Oh, and we have water!" He says moving things around in the refrigerator.

"I'm sorry, but what is 'OJ', 'AJ', and 'CJ'?" I asked and he chuckles.

A couple seconds pass and I'm still standing there confused.

"Oh, you were serious about that?" He laughs again.

"Yes."

"OJ is orange juice, AJ is apple juice, and CJ is cranberry juice. And I'm pretty sure you know what water is." He smiles.

"I'll just take water."

"Okay."

He grabs the three cups then pours water into all of them. He hands me one then I head back upstairs.

I nearly drop my cup when I run into a girl coming down the stairs.

"Oh shit! Sorry! Who are you?" She asks

"Um, I'm Ashton.."

"Oh I'm Nina, nice to meet you!" She chirps and throws her hand in front of me. I shake her hand. "What are you doing here?" She asks

"Um, I'm living here for a little while I guess."

"Oh cool.. Well I'm gonna go downstairs now. It was nice meeting you!" She winks and I wave goodbye. What was that for?

Anyways, I'm going to go to bed, way earlier than usual.

*Luke's POV*

I hear Nina coming down the stairs.

Why would she go upstairs when the restroom Is downstairs? I mentally ask myself.

"Hey I was looking for you!" She said

"I was in the kitchen" I reply

"Oh.. I met that dude Ashton."

"Yeah? He's gonna stay here for a while." I say as I hand her the cup of water.

"Thanks, and how come?"

"It's a long story.."

"Oh, okay.. Well he seems..nice." She replies."babe, it's getting late.. I think I should head home."

"But..but.. Ugh okay." I give her light peck on her lips before I walk her to the door. "See you soon" I lean on the door watching her get in her car and leave.

I head up to my bathroom, brush my teeth then head to bed. I have to go to school tomorrow so might as well go to bed a little early.
