24. Presents

"Flirt with her, I know you've always wanted to." Jimin snickered, elbowing Jungkook in the ribs.

Jungkook rolled his eyes, taking a step away from Jimin for some 'personal space'. Jimin still didn't know what the meaning of personal space was, always clinging to jungkook like a koala. "No thanks." Jungkook muttered, taking the last swig of his beer. That would be enough alcohol for today.

"What's stopping you? You've liked her for how long?"

"I don't like her anymore." Jungkook muttered without hesitation, which truly surprised him. No stuttering as well.

Jimin couldn't help but gasp, however, it wasn't loud enough for the entire room to hear. "I don't believe it!" 

"It's true." Jungkook kept a stern gaze, "I got over her years ago after we all split our ways." Jungkook paused, "I've decided to move on. So in other words, I have no interest in flirting."

Jimin couldn't help but raise an eyebrow of complete confusion. The way Jungkook stood as Chaeyoung was standing nearby, his posture looking all nervous and uncomfortable. Jungkook would've been 'normal', as if he was talking to a friend, if he truly didn't have feelings for her. 

ANd calling her beautiful? Everyone knew she was beautiful, so it didn't have to be said aloud. 

His statement didn't match with the actions he portrayed tonight.

However....

Jimin also justified that maybe Jungkook was like that around all women in general. He still had a fear towards women, and if he didn't activate his inner wolf, there's no way he would've talked to women in the past 3 years, and having intimate hook ups.

"Whatever you say. I'm just saying, seize the opportunity when you have the chance. Enjoy the time you spend with other women, before you find you destined one."

"Are you telling me to just sleep around?" Jungkook finally turned towards jimin, slightly surprised by his so called 'advice'. 

"N-no, it's just-"

"Well the fact that you realized jennie was your mate 3 years ago, making you lose your ever lasting opportunity to hook up with random women isn't my fault. It was your destiny."

"I just wanted to vicariously lived through you and your sexual experiences." This statement was followed by a goofy laughter coming from Jimin's plump lips.

"Fuck you man."Jungkook spoke in disgust. Without a word, he turned around, only to run into Taehyung. "So you gonna flirt with her or not?" Taehyung held a half finished champagne glass, looking more livelier than ever. Mind you not, this was his 6th glass of alcohol in a span of 1 hour.

"Both of you," Jungkook sternly pointed at the two older men, "leave me the fuck alone." Almost stomping away from them, his footsteps immediately halted when Jin happily spoke, "ready to open your presents Chaeyoung?"

"What?" Jungkook's faint whisper was with a tone of surprise.

"Poor you, didn't buy a present for her?" Taehyung mocked the younger lad, chuckling like a goof.

"I didn't even fucking know this get together was for her. Heck, I didn't even know she would be here AT ALL."

"Calm yourself," Taehyung spoke in a mocking manner, "no need to flip your shit."

"Why the hell wouldn't you tell me earlier?"

"WE all know you wouldn't have come. And it's rude to not accept a party invitation don't you think?" Wiggling Taehyung's eyebrows, Jungkook just wanted to strangle him then and there. He hated being made fun of, cause that was his job. He made fun of the older men, not the other way around.
