23. Flirt, Magic

The evening was filled with celebration.

Drinks, laughter, appetizers, and pure happiness.

Chaeyoung made small talk with Jungkook, however was dragged away by the girls to speak with the others.

Jungkook didn't know what to feel. He sort of liked the fact that Chaeyoung spoke with him, although it was such a difficult internal battle. He was trying not to blush, maybe even activate his inner wolf. However, once she was taken away, there was a feeling of disappointment...emptiness.

He didn't know why, since he had no reason to be upset. It's not like they had a strong bond or anything.

But, Jungkook was sure that his feeling of disappointment didn't mean anything.

Yes.

Definitely.

Walking over to the drinks section to grab a new beer can, jimin had walked over, slapping Jungkook's ass in the process. Jungkook didn't yelp like he once used to, until he got used to Jimin's actions.

Jimin should be lucky that Jungkook wasn't in the middle of drinking. His expensive suit wasn't affected, hence, Jungkook wasn't going to ruin another's suit for revenge.

Jungkook was in his own world, until jimin cut off his thoughts. " Your ass is firmer than before huh??" Followed by Jimin's cute giggle, he also grabbed a new beer, opening the lid with his teeth in a swift motion.

Jungkook took a swig, clearing his throat to remove most of the bitter taste of the beer. Glancing at the shelves of the bar, looking at the beautifully arranged glasses, Jimin decided to interrupt the silence once again with a sigh, "It's your chance man, you have to talk to Chae. She'll be leaving again in a week for a photoshoot abroad."

What???

Those words definitely caught Jungkook off guard.

She was leaving? So fast?

...So fast??....Why was Jungkook surprised. This was expected, considering Chae was high on the market and demanded.

Jungkook's lips tugged downwards, and hoped to cover his disappointment by taking another sip. Jimin caught on, smiling at Jungkook's response.

"So you're disappointed."

"Why would I be?"

Chaeyoung was talking to the girls and the boys, but little did any of them know that Chaeyoung was secretly eavesdropping the conversation going on between Jimin and Jungkook. She didn't pay attention until Jimin mentioned her name.

After the transformation, one of her new abilities was to have sensitive hearing. And boy did it come in handy when obnoxious female models were talking 'shit behind her back'. She taught them a lesson, and never did they risk saying even a word of criticism.

Moving a piece of her hair behind her hair casually, she multitasked, zooming in her hearing of the two men.

"Why would I be?"

"Dude, it's written all over your face." jimin interjected.

*clears throat*

Sipping a wisp of champagne, Chaeyoung leaned against the counter, nodding her head in agreement of the two girls. They were talking about loving to walk on long beaches on a romantic night at one point. They were probably talking about the same thing right?

"WHAT?!" Lisa almost dropped her wine glass, as she let out an expression of disbelief. Groaning mentally, Chaeyoung actually paid attention to her current circle of human beings.

Chaeyoung couldn't help but look confused.

What was happening?

"You like Jungkook?? And you never told me!?"

HUH!????

Chaeyoung shook her head immediately, wanting lisa to hush her god damn pretty voice. THe males were bound to hear, and fuck her life, Jin, hobi, taehyung, yoongi and namjoon were in the circle.

She was desperate for any of them to believe her.

Why would she like Jungkook?

She had no reason to.

Dating wasn't her priority, and she was never fallen for anyone so deeply...yet.

"NO!" Chae hissed, an intense blush creeping across her rosy cheeks.

When in the world did they switch topics from long walks on romantic beaches to....jungkook?

"Awww, don't be shy babe." Jennie cooed, "it's okay. He won't hear us. He's..." Jennie peered behind Chae, "too busy talking to my bae."

Chaeyoung quickly turned, noticing that the two men seemed to be in deep conversation.

Thank god.

Turning her head around once again, Chae insisted, "I don't have a crush on Jungkook."

"Mhmm...whatever." Lisa flipped her hair, "I'm not buying it."

UGH. No point in speaking with the drama queen.

"So...why don't you put in your flirting skills? Do the flirt now? You have your chance." Tae was the one who chirped excitedly, which was so unexpected.

Chaeyoung almost spit her champagne out.

"EH!?" Chaeyoung almost spat, looking at Taehyung surprised.

"I said-"

"She heard you." LIsa put her hand on Taehyung's chest, "the thing is, she doesn't know how to flirt."

of course....and the embarrassment begins.

All heads turned around, except jimin and jungkook.

"MOTHER FUCKIN YES! I'M NOT THE FAILURE OF PICKING UP WOMEN!" Namjoon said happily. Yoongi slapped him in the head, "Chae may not know how to flirt, but she has plenty of men going after her, correct?" Yoongi turned towards chae, who blushed once again.

Well...definitely a yes.

"Oh...and do some 'magic', and I'm sure Jungkook will have sparkly eyes." Yoongi spoke, which was rare, especially regarding this topic.

The strange thing about Yoongi's statements sometimes was that...they can come true.

So...was this one of the cases?
