Chapter 21

(Third person's POV)

As the rest of Jackson's friends one by one entered the living room, the girls were shocked but all of them felt a gush of relief as they no longer have to deal with this problem alone. They went over the plan once more and Nayeon insisted to follow while the rest of the girls will wait at the apartment. As stubborn as she is, Nayeon isn't sparing any chance she have to see Jeongyeon again. She only wanted to see Jeongyeon and thats all that matters to her right now.

(Time skip)

After making sure they have everything planned out, the 7 boys and Nayeon went out in search of Jeongyeon. Jeongyeon was kept at one the abandoned mansion which was once owned by Nayeon's parents. It was a quiet ride until Yugyeom decided to break the deafening silence.

"Let's play some music.. This silence is getting unbearable." He said as he switched on the USB player. As the music was playing, Mark, Jackson and Yugyeom was seen to have obviously relaxed abit but there was one girl who kept quiet all along and just looked out of the window while the rest were enjoying the songs.

Nayeon's mind wasn't exactly there with them. Her mind had wondered off to the person she misses the most and the person she longs to see the most. Every bit of her mind was clouded by the thought of Jeongyeon. She lets herself stare off to space while her mind wonders off on its own trying to keep herself calm from all the problems.

(Time skip)

It was when Nayeon felt someone gently poking her cheeks that she found out that they have arrived and that she fell asleep on their way there. Undeniably, Nayeon is totally worn out both physically and mentally. She just came back from Washington the day before and didn't even got enough of sleep as her mind wouldn't stop thinking about Jeongyeon. Not to mention that she's been crying non stop these two days, therefore it isn't really a surprise that she fell asleep during their ride.

They were standing outside the mansion approximately 5 metres away from it to avoid being noticed by someone inside. They were going through one last time about their plan and Nayeon was told to wait in the car and be their watch out. Despite being desperate to see Jeongyeon, she knows well when she needs to cooperate. So she just nodded. As things were clearly briefed, Jackson lead them towards the mansion. Of course, not before Nayeon threw herself on him for a long hug. He patted his sister's head assuring her that everything will go well. Jackson finally let go of his sister and went towards the mansion with his 6 buddies following him closely.

(Nayeon's POV)

I was waiting at the car as told when i feel like things doesn't seem right. They're gone for almost 10 minutes now but they haven't contacted me. I'm worried about them.

Its been 10 minutes already.. Why isn't there any news from them? Pls dont let anything happen to them.

As i was about to get out fron the car, sounds were heard fron the walkie talkie that I was holding. I hold on to it tightly as if i'm able to squeeze out anything from it. Just then, voices were heard from the walkie talkie. It was Jeongyeon! They found her! but what are they doing there not getting out?

I was brought back to my senses when i heard Jeongyeon spoke. "Nayeon, is that you? Can you hear me?" she asked in a whisper-shout manner. "Yea.. i hear you. Whats going on in there? Why aren't y'all coming out? Is everything ok?" i fired her with questions as soon as i found my voice back. "Look. Something went wrong and we need you to call the police and tell them our location." she said still whispering. "Okay... but what happened? Where is my brother?" i asked. There was a moment of silent before she spoke again. "Jackson oppa was untying the ropes on my leg when he was shot by one of the kidnappers.. Mark oppa and JB oppa is with him right now. We cant get out because we're outnumbered. Call for help Nayeonie! We can't hide for too long!"

Tears started building up at the corners of my eyes. I wanted to answer but no voice came out. He promised me that he'll come back safe and that everything was gonna be ok. He risked his life for the sake of my love life.

With one hand still clutching on the walkie talkie, i took out my phone and called the police. With shaking hands and stuttering voice, i managed to tell them our current location. After hanging up on the police station, i called for the ambulance and then i dialled Jihyo's number in the end. The moment she picked up, the voices of the girls filled the entire car as i put it on speaker. They were bombarding me with questions but i was only able to answer them with the sound of my sobs. They heard my sobs and eventually quiet down. I appreciate the silence they provide me with and it feels like they were actually there next to me, comforting me. I stopped crying and explained to them what happened.

It was again a moment of silence before Jihyo spoke again. "Give us the location unnie. We're coming."
