Chapter 22

(Nayeon's POV)

I was sitting in the car, hands gripping tight on the walkie talkie and my phone. Its been 10 minutes and help is on the way. I was spacing out when suddenly someone knocked the window and cut my out of my trance. I looked up at the person who knocked on the window and saw the girls. I quickly opened the lock and threw myself at Jihyo. She held me tight in her embrace and constantly rubs my back trying to comfort me. I couldn't help but started crying again. After a few minutes of me crying my heart out and Jihyo trying her level best to relax me, i finally decided to pull away and finally met eyes with the rest of the girls. 

"You should come out now unnie. The police is over there and they need you to tell them whats going on in there." Tzuyu spoke to break the silence. I nodded and followed them to where the police was. They were gathered at a further distance from the mansion to avoid causing any commotions that would alert the kidnappers. We walked over and i told them again what i knew about the situation inside and they asked me if i could reach Jeongyeon through the walkie talkie. I nodded and held the walkie talkie up to my mouth and called for Jeongyeon. Hoping that she's somehow safe and would be able to hear me and to our relieve, Jeongyeon answered the call. 

"Nayeonie ? Is that you ? Did you manage to get help ?" her voice came out almost a whisper on the walkie talkie. 

"Are you ok ? The police came but they need to know whats going on in there to know what to do." i said, and i'm surprised that my voice came out calmer than i expected.

"I'm still inside. Things have gotten quieter. I dont really know whats going on out there. Wait, i'll go check it out." as soon as her last words slipped out i started freaking out again. What if she's in danger again? What if they found out she's still alive? I cant let anything happen to Jeongyeon again. I cant!

As i was about to speak through the walkie talkie again, Jeongyeon's voice was heard. 

"They're holding them hostage at the basement. I cant get through the living room. There're too many of them down there. Its all clear up here tho, so it'll be safe if you came through the second floor." she spoke and you can clearly here her panting.

"We have alot to talk about when things are settled Yoo Jeongyeon." i said and heard her chuckle slightly on the other line. 

"Sure we do bunny." she said and that made me smile a little. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder and turn around to see Sana looking at me. She gave me a worried look and i just held her shoulder and nodded my head to assure her that i'm fine. I turned back to the police and told them about the things that Jeongyeon told me. After a brief run through on what was gonna happen later, we were all sent back to the car. We were told to wait in the car while they do the job. I was determined to follow them on the  rescue mission but had known better to save them more problems. So we waited at the car.

Time skip to 40 minutes ltr

(Tzuyu's POV)

We have been waiting for almost 40 minutes already and they're still not out yet. Not even a single news from them. Nayeon unnie is clearly freaking out right now and Jihyo unnie and Mina unnie is trying their best to calm her down. The atmosphere in the car is clearly tensed as hell and apparently Chaeyoung decided to make some lame jokes along with Dahyun unnie which clearly did not help ease the tension at all. While they're all busy trying to ease the tension, i've noticed that Sana has been quiet most of them time. She's been leaning on my shoulder since we were asked to stay in the car and have not said anything since then. I look over to the girl beside me and caress her hair making her look up at me as i leaned down to give her a kiss on the forehead.
