Going Away And Starting Over

8 am, Tuesday.

I took one last glance at my empty room as i closed the door softly. I then went downstairs and stood in the middle of the house with my mom. " You ready?" Mom asked me as she smiled at me. " Yeah." I answered her as i looked around the house. This House held so many memories that i'll never forget ever in my life. I smiled softly and headed outside with my mom as she put the final bag in the car. I opened the door of the Uber's car as i glanced at the house that i once called home. This is it. This is really it. I'm going away. I let out a long sigh as i heard two familiar voices yell out " WAIT"

I froze on my spot as Brooke and Lucas walked closer to me. I turned to them as they gave me a disbelieving look. " Seriously? You were seriously just gonna leave without a proper goodbye??!!" Lucas exclaimed as a tear rolled down his cheek. " I-i'm sorry ok? I didn't know what to do." I said as i stared at the floor. " You're an idiot!!" Brooke said as she hugged me tightly, crying. " Dumbass!!" Lucas said as he also hugged me. I hugged them back and we hugged for like a whole minute.

" i'm gonna miss you so damn much." Brooke whispered. " Me too." I whispered back to her, kissing her cheek. She smiled at me as we pulled apart. I stared at their crying faces, Even I was crying a little. " Aren't you guys supposed to be at school?" I asked them, furrowing my eyebrows. " School can wait." Lucas said as he waved his hand. He then reached for his pocket as he pulled something out.
" Here. It's something you can remember us by." Lucas said as he glanced at Brooke then back to me.

He stretched his hands out and handed me a cute bracelet that has ' Best Bitches' carved into it. I smiled as i admired the bracelet. " Best Bitches? really??" I said as i chuckled at them. " As you can see, it was Lucas's idea. I only told him that we should get matching bracelets." Brooke said giggling as she looked at Lucas who was giving us a proud smirk. " Why am I not surprised?" I told them as i shaked my head at Lucas. " I'm gonna miss you kiddos. " My mom said as she walked to us , hugging Lucas then Brooke. " We're gonna miss you too." Brooke said as she smiled at my mom.

" Well jane we have to go now." Mom told me as she gave me a sad smile and got in the car. " Well..." I trailed off as i shifted my legs. " Oh jane you're so awkward!!"
Brooke said as she leaned for a long hug.
She then let me go slowly as she smiled softly. Lucas then hugged me and i suddenly felt myself being lifted. I laughed loudly as Lucas carried me around the front yard. " IM GONNA STEAL YOU. YOU SHALL NOT LEAVE!!!" He yelled loudly in a deep voice. I giggled as i grabbed his shoulders.

He then let me down and we walked back to the car. " Till next time, my dudes!" I said as i did a salute and they did too. I smiled at them as i got inside the car. But beforei could close the door of the car, An all too familiar voice yelled out " Where the hell do you think you two are going?!!". I paused as i recognized the voice that belonged to my so called 'Father'. I got out from the car as my mom did the same. " Stay away, David!!!" Mom spat out at him as he started walking closer to us.

What the hell is he doing here!?. He glanced at the bags that were in the back of the car and chuckled lowly. I looked at my two friends to see them quitely watching with nervous eyes. " Ha you're going away?" Dad spoke, staring between me and my mom. " Yes we are. We are getting as far away from you as possible and you can't do anything to stop us." Mom growled at my dad who was looking at us with disbelief. " You can't just leave!!" He screamed, furry evident in his brown eyes.

" Watch us." I spoke for the first time, glaring at him and getting back in the car. I slammed the door shut as my mom got in too. I glanced at my friends with an apologetic smile and they smiled back sadly. They turned around and walked away. The car started moving as i watched their figures fade away. "Honey..." My mom said as she stroked my hair. " I'm fine, mom. " I told her as i wiped the tears, That i didn't even know were there, with the back of my hand. I took my earphones and listened to songs for the rest of ride. After one hour of driving, We arrived at the airport.
