All throughout the way home the silence left an open gap for me to ponder about my biological father. One could only think of what he looked like, what he was interested, or what his reaction was when he found out he had a daughter. Did he even want me? Was I ever going to get the chance to actually meet him face to face? The whole situation was just so fucked up and had my head aching. By the time we got back my mom urged me to come home with her, but I refused. I guess you could say that I just wasn't exactly ready to face my "dad" or Jake. I wondered if Jake even had a clue of what was going on. Sure most of the time he acted like he didn't care but I honestly knew he payed attention to every single detail there was relating to me.
Candace let me have my space and allowed me to drown in my thoughts for the whole night,. By the time I actually got up in the morning, I had a major headache. I really wasn't in the mood for school but didn't have much of a choice. I felt really bad that I barely spoke a sentence to whom was supposed to be by best friend for life in the past 12 hours.
