13: Wandering in the Woods

I instantly glance over to Harlow, signalling we should partner together. But she mouthed the word no with a devilish smirk? What is this child planning... 

Namjoon glanced at Jin before raising his voice. "Uh, Hoseok, wanna partner?" Hoseok exchanged questionable glances with Yoongi before accepting.

"Okay, I'll go with Jimin then," Yoongi groaned but was quickly cut off when Jimin suddenly flinched.

"No, I'm going with Y/N," Me? He wants to go search with me? I blinked profusely as I looked up at him.

Harlow was still giving me devilish smirks and wiggling her eyebrows when Yoongi walked toward her. This woman... Oh my God.

"Alright, then we'll meet here in an hour and if you get lost, you get lost. No one cares." Yoongi stated as he disappeared into the woods with Harlow running after him to catch up. Wow. I aspire to be as chill as him because I'm still panicking silently over every tiny scenario.

As we split up and walked in different directions, it got quieter and walking through the woods got a lot scarier. Not to mention I felt extremely awkward when Jimin seemed totally comfortable with everything as he observed his surroundings.

He suddenly sighed and turned to me.
"How are you so calm, Y/N?"

"Uh, what?" I almost gawked at his absurd question. "I'm panicking a lot, you probably can't tell."

"Well I feel guilty for arguing with Taehyung and this entire situation is my fault. If I had kept my mouth shut, he wouldn't have ran off and we wouldn't be here stranded."

"It's Min Seo's fault, not yours. Taehyung didn't run out because he was upset, he was looking for Yeontan. Wait, we should stop blaming people." I exhaled loudly as my eyes wandered.

"That's the problem, though. These past few days you've been here all we've done is fight and blame each other and I hate to let you see this side of us. It's strange, we usually aren't like this."

"No, I understand. I fight with my friends too, but it cools down after a week." Out of nowhere I realize Jimin was still carrying Harlow's bag, ever since I was carrying her while she was sleeping he had been holding it the entire time. And I didn't even notice.

"Oh my gosh, I just realised you're still carrying that heavy bag. I'll carry it for you," I reached for the bag but he quickly moved out of my grasp.

"It's not heavy for me. And I'll hold it for you because it's shameful for a gentleman to let a woman carry heavy things." He grinned as he walked farther from me.

"You're a gentleman, now?" I laughed as I ran to catch up.

"Yes, when was I not?" He paused and went back to observing his surroundings, possibly checking if we were anywhere near Jungkook and Taehyung. "Anyway, about this morning.. you still didn't tell me why you were blushing."

Instantly at the thought of it my face heated up. "Don't you already know the answer?" I sighed, burying my face into my hands.

"Maybe," He chuckled and grabbed my wrists, revealing my face from beneath my hands.

"You're-" I quickly cut him off before I could blush even more.
"Yes, I'm blushing, can we change the topic now?" I shook his grasp off my wrists, hiding the embarrassment in my voice.

"Cute," He gushed as he turned back to the woods. "Stop!" I cooled my face with my hands. Speaking of coolness, I was getting goosebumps under the white T-shirt as the night progressed.

"Wait, you're the same age as Harlow, right?"
"Why, are you making sure you aren't a pedophile?" I laughed.
I cursed at myself in my head for saying that. I really need to stop speaking my thoughts, let alone talk. Probably going to go duct tape my mouth later.

"Maybe," He grinned. "So I'm guessing you're in college?" I nodded quietly, restraining from saying anything weird again.

"You're an army too, right? So... who's your bias?" He smirked, knowing he'd hit the jackpot.

"I don't have one because I find everyone equally attractive and talented," I state proudly with my chin in the air.

"Oh, really?" He leaned close teasingly but flinched when sudden rustling errupted from a few meters away. Well crap.

"Harlow, I swear if that's you," I exclaimed, facing toward the plants.

"Harlow? When did she come in our convo?"

A squirrel scurried out of nowhere and slid up a random tree. Oh. I was hoping for-- I quickly heard barking in the distance. I think I jinxed it.

Yeontan came running toward the direction of where the squirrel disappeared from, but Jimin quickly ran into the view causing Yeontan to jump into his arms. I don't know but I had the sudden urge to squeal UWU at this moment but quickly restrained because I already promised myself to not speak my thoughts stupidly.

"Yeontan-ah!" He spoke with glee as he cuddled into the fluffy fur. "Aw, I want a cute dog too," I cooed as I petted the soft puppy, leaning close.

"Pfft, you two look like newlyweds obsessing over babies." A voice scoffed and we both spun around quickly toward the direction of the noise.

It was Yoongi and Harlow with Jungkook and Taehyung. And I believe the voice belonged to Taehyung.

"Yeah, so we found the two wandering by the shore like idiots." Yoongi sighed, sagging his shoulders.
"And I guess you found my babyyy!!" Taehyung practically shoved me and grabbed Yeontan aggressively out of Jimin's tiny hands.

"Well yipee, you found us. What happens now?" Jungkook groaned as he rubbed his eyes. I guess the poor maknae is tired but I don't blame him, it's about half past 1am.

"I dunno, who's genius plan was it to split up to find Taehyung and Jungkook without considering the fact we might lose each other in the woods?" Harlow eyed Yoongi who simply glared back.

"Wasn't it Yoongi Hyung?" Jungkook stared cluelessly at the both of them, confused about the intense stares being exchanged.

"Yeah, well not everyone is perfect, okay?" He snapped.

"So... We just wander around in hopes of getting back to shore? Right-- speaking of the shore, you said you found them at shore, right? Why are you guys in the woods?" Jimin chimed in.

"I don't know, Tae was eager to find his stupid dog!" Yoongi spat.

"Yeontan is not stupid! You all are crossing the line here!" Taehyung pouted and continued to cuddle Yeontan.

"Haha... Hyungs, we should all calm ourselves."
"Well why don't you think about it, Jungkook? We're lost in the woods. Do we just wander around until we miraculously find shore and the rest of the members?" Jungkook flinched at Jimin's words.

"Hey, Jungkook is right though. We should cool off. I've had enough of arguing." Harlow declared defensively causing Jungkook to beam with pride with her agreement.

"Well, Jimin, it's better than standing around. We could just wander, I guess?" I piped in hesitantly.

Everybody stood still for a while until Yoongi just started to walk, leading us who knows where. I guess they went with my suggestion-- hooray?

Honestly and this point idk who's hair color is what but I'mma just continue the storyline without minding the hair colors XD
