Nora had the day off ;so she spent it at home. Unconsciously, while she was cleaning her hand had strayed to her lips as she remembered the way Jacobi had kissed her. Each time , she caught herself, she found out she was blushing. Really? She thought. Just a kiss had turned her into a blushing mushy mess. He was just an ordinary guy; but an inner part of her whispered it was no ordinary guy. She'd felt power radiate off him. She was still deep in thought when she heard her phone ringing. She looked at it, it was an unknown number.

"Hello."
"Hey, it's me."
"Jacobi?" She was surprised he'd called. She hadn't seen him since on Thursday. It was Monday now.
"The one and the only."
"How'd you get my number?"
"I stole it. Don't bother asking who from I won't tell."
"Why? It's my number after all."
"Swore I won't tell."
She laughed at his tone. "So why are you calling?"
"Well I wanted to ask you out"
She was surprised he'd blurted it out like that. Well, not really considering the kiss they'd shared the previous night.
"You don't mess around do you?" She asked with a chuckle.
"Not when it comes to you."
She laughed.
"So?" He sounded nervous.
"Have you done this before?" She couldn't help teasing." Cuz that's no way to ask a girl out."
"Well...no I haven't done this a lot. Usually girls are the ones flocking around me."
She didn't really want to miss an opportunity to spend time with him, so she ended up inviting him to her place for dinner.

"Bye sweet."

Nora spent the rest of the day cleaning up her apartment. Somehow, she had a weird urge to please him. After cleaning, she had a shower and wore a white gown with plack polka dots. At 7pm she heard her doorbell and she went to get it. Jacobi stood there looking as handsome as ever in jeans and a v-neck T-shirt with a jacket. He was carrying a large box in his hand.

"I brought pizza." He said giving her a breathtaking smile.
"Yes, come in"

She told him to take a seat while she went to go and bring the food she'd prepared. He gave her a look when she'd said she cooked.

"What? I didn't know what time you were coming and I don't like cold food." She lied.

She made spaghetti with chicken sauce and Jacobi ate it all, like it was his last meal. They'd made small talk throughout dinner and when it was over she made her way to the kitchen to wash the dishes. She felt his arms come around her and she instinctively leaned into his solid chest.

"Last night was the best night ever." He whispered into her ear while gently nipping  it.

If he was referring to the kiss, it was her best too.

"I bet you tell all the girls that." She replied with a chuckle.

He spinned her around backing her up against the counter.
"Only you." Was his reply.
"Go let me finish the dishes." She said pushing him away. His proximity did things to her.

"We could do other things, by the way I enjoyed dinner. Best dinner." He said with a wink.
"Thank you." She said and blushed making an attempt at pushing him away again, but he didn't budge.

She looked up into his eyes, he was giving her a heated look. The words  died on the tip of her tongue when she looked into his eyes. Slowly, he bent his head and placed the smallest butterfly kisses on her lips, letting them meet for only a fraction of a second. She whimpered and wrapped her arms around his neck fusing their lips. That seemed to be the sign he was waiting for, as the kiss got more intense. His tongue swept into her mouth tasting every inch of her, then he peppered kisses down her jaw down to her neck. She angled her head slightly to give him more access when she felt a nip. It seemed to send shockwaves through her. Opening her eyes as she felt a wave of pain wash over her,as she saw Jacobi's surprised face before the darkness covered her.

Jacobi stared at the unconscious female in his arms. He'd just laid a claim on her when she'd fainted. His wolf had taken control wanting to mark her but he'd only been able to lay a small claim and an imprint. She'd been too alluring in the dress and he just couldn't seem to keep his hands to himself. He ran his hands through his hair ; Fuck! He and his wolf were  restless. Why hadn't she woken up yet? He was pacing when he heard her breathing quicken. He rushed to her sides as her eyelids cracked open.

Nora stared at the man in front her. He was giving her a strange look. What happened? She looked around. She was still in her apartment. Why was she lying on her sofa? She sat up giving him a wary look.

"What happened?" She asked. She actually noticed his cheeks redden a little.
"Did we do something?" Had she slept with him or something?

He could see the panicked look on her. "Uh...no...nothing serious."

So they'd actually done something? How far had it gone?

"What?"
"Never mind. Can I ask you something?"
"Okay." She said unsure. What had brought this unwarranted discussion?

"Which pack are you from?"

She gave him a look like he'd gone bonkers."Pack? What are talking about?"

He paused for a moment." Okay. Where are your parents?"
She narrowed her eyes at him. "That's a really personal question to ask."
"I'm sorry if you feel that way, I just..."
"Never met them." Was her reply. She didn't know why she told him, he was still a stranger to her although he didn't feel like one. She felt she had known him all her life.
"What?" He looked shocked.
She already started might as well as continue. "I never met them, lived with my aunt. She died a couple of years ago."
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay. My aunt never really talked about them." She had tears in her eyes. God! She didn't even know why she was crying. She felt arms come around her.
"Ssh. It's okay." He cooed in her ear.
"You must think I'm weak." She said sniffing.
"No I don't. It's okay to cry." He said rubbing her arms soothingly.
She let and cried for the first time in a long time. She vaguely remembered telling Jacobi not to leave her side.

                  * * *

Nora woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. Going to the back if her door, she picked up her baseball bat and tiptoed to the kitchen. She was shocked too see Jacobi there in an apron looking as hot as ever.

"Morning." His voice brought her out of her trance. She dropped the bat and folded her hands over her chest.

"What are you doing?" Although it was pretty obvious.
"Cooking of course."
"You stayed the night?" It was more of a statement.
"Yes."

After breakfast, he left saying he would call her during the day. Nora had her shift by 2pm. In the evening, Nora was sitting in her room by the window staring up at the full moon up in the sky. She'd always felt the moon meant more to her, like it was calling her. She felt a tingling  sensation of awareness wash over her.

That night Nora dreamt of walking in the forest at night. Her only source of light was the moon. She walked and walked not finding an end to the trees. Finally, she settled under a large tree and let sleep take over her.

Nora awoke in a forest. She stood up quickly looking around. How had she gone from her bedroom to a forest? She was scared, scared that some creepy animals would jump out of nowhere and attack her before she got a chance to scold herself on her stupidity. She heard crunching of dry leaves and she turned only to find a little of about six with big green eyes.

"Hi I'm Elysia." The girl said staring at her.
"I'm Nora."
"I like your hair."
"Thank you." She said and then stared at the girl again. "Do you know the way out of here? Or are you lost to?"
"Mama said not to talk to strangers, but you seem nice. Yes I know the way out. The forest belongs to my pack. Come." She said grabbing Nora's hand and leading her out of the forest.

So how was the chapter?
From here things get interesting and there will be introduction of new characters and I'm sure some of you might get confused but don't worry everything will be smoothed out in the chapters ahead. I'm sorry for taking so long to update.
