A Fight From Death

Operation; Overlord

The sun rose on the Dark Island and the knights were prepared for the next battle against the Overlord. Everyone felt different that morning, Kai was limping a little, Jay started coughing, Cole was more ripped than ever, Zane was chill as always, Lloyd was getting stressed, and Nya became more light headed. Wasn't the best start for the morning, but it was a start. 

The Royals left all their stuff at the camp and started walking to find a way to the Overlord. As they were walking, Nya put on the locket around her neck that the little boy, Jacob, gave to her as his final wish. Suddenly, they could hear a slight noise coming from the jungle behind them. Before they were able to get out their weapons ready to fight, multiple men in stone like armor came from out of the bushes with their swords in front of the knights. 

"Well look what we got here. A couple of teenagers trying to portray knights, how cute" One of the six stone men teased.

 Most of the knights growled while the others were petrified, "What do you want?" Lloyd asked with venom at the tip of his tongue. 

The men in stone chuckled, "I think my friend here asked you a question. SO SPILL" The knight in red hissed. 

"We need you to come with us. Master needs his special little-" but before the stone man could finish, Lloyd threw his single sword in the mans chest making him fall to the ground.

 "RUN!" Lloyd shouted as he started to run for it. The others were struggling as the other stone men were charging at them. Cole and Zane were able to slip out of the fight to follow Lloyd while The Masters of Water, Fire, and Lightning were keeping them busy. 

Kai was holding off two the same goes to Nya, and Jay was just finishing the last one. You could hear the clash of swords and metal from miles away as the knights fought. The Master of Water finished off the stone soldiers with one of her daggers, but before she left the soldier spoke, "Master is waiting for your arrival, and he is expecting his prize." 

That was all he said before dying, the knight in gray went over to Kai and Jay who were also done fighting. They all ran over to Cole, Zane, and Lloyd who were still trying to catch their breath. "Looks like they knew we were coming, but how?" Cole questioned. 

"From my perspective would be one of the diseased colonist saw us and reported back to the Overlord" Zane informed the group. 

Nya bit her lip before saying, "I gotta go do some lady business, I'll be back in a moment" She lied as she sprinted into the jungle. Lloyd and Jay gave each other concerning looks and followed her as the others were searching for food. They came through vines, branches, and trees before seeing Nya with one of her dagger in her hand with tears streaming down her face. 

She pointed the dagger to her chest were her heart would be and aimed at it as she closed her eyes waiting for pain, but it didn't happen. Nya felt a pair of arms wrapped around her waist and the dagger that was once in her hand was taken away by another. Her vision was blurry from crying, but once she heard those two voices it all came clear. "Hey, hey, babe it's alright. Deep breaths" the voice of the blue knight soothed. 

"Nya what were you going to do with the dagger?" Lloyd questioned as he stared down at the knife that was now in his hand. 

Nya sniffled and sobbed more, "I-I- Wanted- T- To- Kill My-self" She cried as Jay pulled her closer to him as they both sat on the ground with Nya in Jay's lap. 

The knight in blue eye's widened, "What!?! No Nya. Why would you want to do that to yourself?" He asked concerned. 

"He's made me mad" She murmured and continued to cry into Jay's chest. 

Lloyd sighed, "That's the next stage, once this one is done-" 

"She will never be the same" Jay interrupted. After a couple of minutes in comfort the three walked back to where the others were with plenty of food to spare. They all sat on the ground and ate, but questions filled the air as they did so. 

"So after this do we follow the stone men or do we just go with our gut and fid the Overlord?" Cole asked as he stuffed his face with food. 

"I say we follow the stone men that way we can find out where their base is" Kai suggested. 

Jay shook his head, "That could work, but we could be easily spotted on the ground" He stated. 

"Then we climb in the trees to follow them" Zane stated, "It would leave no foot prints and we all have done it before." 

They all agreed and finished eating. The royals climbed up one of the trees in the jungle in a group that way they could stay together. As they were all up in the trees a voice spoke in Nya's head, 'Bring them to me my little special princess.' And with that she followed her Master's  orders.
