Always with you

Chapter 7

Alexander Zverev, January 2017

I was in  Australia to compete in the Hopman Cup with my teammate Andrea Petkovic. We were both training on the center court along with host Daria Gavrilova and Nick Kyrgios. It was an intense practice but at the same time fun, that always comes with mixed doubles. At the end of the practice we all relaxed a little while drinking water.

Hey, Sascha, the party last night was great, did not you think? - Nick told me with a mocking smile.

Yes, great- I answered

Oh come on, as you might know, you left before the real party started - he kept taunting.

I had to wake up early, I could not stay-I said a little more seriously and gave him my look "of do not get involved in my business "and seemed to understand him because he left his jokes aside and just nodded.

We kept talking until Nick and Daria had to leave. Andrea and I finished packing our things to leave the court. 

So Alexander Zverev had to wake up early? Without any match at the door? Oh Sascha, you could invent something better-Andrea told me in a tone of mockery.

I was not lying- I said with a smile.

so ? Come on, you can not hide anything from me, you're like that little brother I never had-she told me.

Helena arrived today in the morning, very early in the morning and I went to meet her at the airport- I said even with a smile on my face

Awww my little Sascha is a real gentleman - she continued mocking, she really is like my big sister who loves to laugh at me, is like Mischa but with  long hair.

How is she ? It was a rather long flight -she said in a more serious tone

 It was, she is fine, better than at the beginning of December- I said in a neutral tone

I suppose she must be sleeping otherwise she  would have been in the first row supporting you.-

Yes, it does, jet lag affects it a lot - I said with a small smile

When she wakes up you should call me, I want to see her.-

Yes, sure.-

I'm talking seriously Sascha, do not you want to hide it from me, it's not just yours- she said funny.

Ok, ok- I said giving up.

After that talk we left the court and everyone went to their respective hotel room. I was looking forward to being able to see Helena. When it finally arrives, she still slept peacefully, she looked like an angel, I approached her and left a kiss on her forehead, I looked at her a few seconds more and I walked away to take a shower. At the end I left with my towel wrapped around my hip and I was surprised to see a pair of eyes watching me.

Wow, the sleeping beauty woke up - she laughed - I must say that I thought you would not wake up until tomorrow - I said while taking some clothes from the closet.

Yes, well, I'm a box of surprises-she said raising his eyebrows and that beautiful smile of yours- your cell phone was ringing.-

Ok, I do believe that-I said-I'm sorry, I thought I had put it in silence- I apologized.

Dont worry, I must wake up at some point- she said while I went back to the bathroom to get dressed quickly. Once with my clothes on, go back to her side.

I told Andrea that I would warn her when you were awake, I think that will happen like in a few  hours - I said laughing

I want to see her, but at this moment I want to be alone with you for a while -she told me- I missed you a lot Sascha.

I also miss you, Liebe-I said, I went over and kissed her.

We were in bed talking for a few hours, hugging and kissing each other.
