For the next few weeks, Jeongin kept walking Mae home. Hyunjin came with them twice in the last four weeks.

Tuesday, November 2018

Jeongin came to the meeting after getting in an arguement with his parents. He refused to go this week, but Hyunjin forced him.

"It's slowly making you better. At least I think so."

"I ignore everyone that tries to talk to me."

"Even Mae?"

"No, but she talks to me first. I don't start the talking."

"Just forget about mom today. Don't let your attitude ruin anything."

"Why do you say that they're your fake parents, Jeongin?"

"Because I'm adopted."

"Yes, but, your parents chose you. That makes you more special than everyone else here," Mr. Twan said, trying to cheer him up.

"They didn't choose me for the right reason. They had to adopt me."

Mae noticed how bitter Jeongin was this session. More bitter than usual. Nonetheless, she waited for him when the session was over.

"..Do you have nothing better to do?" He stopped when he saw her.

"..I'm used to this." She looked at her phone. It was 5:30 pm.

"Yeah well, my brother's not here, and I'm not walking you home."

"Ok-"

"Bye." He walks the other way.

*Later that day*

"Did you tell him what happened?"

"Just mentioned the fight."

"And?"

"Nothing."

"Did you talk to Mae?"

"No. I didn't walk with her."

"I told you not to put your attitude on others."

"I didn't say anything bad. you care so much about her, so you should walk her home."

"Jeongin, she's the only one that you talk to. That's not good. You need more interactions."

"No."

By next month, Jeongin still walked Mae. They don't talk much but he's comfortable with her.

"So.... do you have my brother's number? I can give it to you."

"We don't always have to talk about Hyunjin. Talk about yourself."

"Nah. That's not why I walk you home."

"..He tells me to get you to talk to me, because he thinks it's good for you. I don't force it though."

"I know. You can talk about yourself then."

"Really?"

"You're a drama queen anyways."

Wtf.. She thinks to herself. Where did that come from???

"I'M a drama queen?"

"Yeah. You're always like, Hyunjin this, Hyunjin that, Hyunjin do you want this, Hyunjin. Like my brother is your slave or something."
