~ Chapter 20 - What fun we had! Part 4 ~

Hiya guys! Sorry for not updating, I recently went on a trip back to Thailand, hehe! I've been really busy with secondary, it's hard, yet fun! Anyways onto the story! :3

It was funny, seeing ourselves smile at each other, I don't know why.

A scream pierced through my thoughts.

It was hers.

~ Ashlene's POV ~

I looked at Irithel and saw her screaming at something or someone, so I couldn't help but giggle. She actually surprised me!

" What's wrong Iri? " I asked her as a leant down to pat her head softly.

" Mister ghost just scared me! " Iri cried out as she covered her face with her own hands, sobbing.

I giggled and crouched down to give her a gentle hug to reassure her. " Come on, mister ghost won't do anything to you, he'll just scare you, and his friends are just playing with you! " I reassured her as I softly pat her back.

She wiped her tears and smiled happily at me. " Thanks Ashy! I feel better now! May I play with mister ghost and his friends soon?" She cheered and asked as her puppy eyes stood out to me.

I sighed and let go, before standing up again while dusting myself. " Of course," I started. " But~" I grinned as she looked up at me in confusion. (( And no, I am not flirting! ))

"But what?"

"But, you have to be a strong and brave girl, are you a strong and brave girl? " I asked as she looked up, determination in her eyes.

"Yes I am!"

" I can't hear you~"

"YES I AM!!!!" she screamed at me on the top of her lungs as Dev looked at us in confusion.

I shot him a soft grin and looked back towards Iri. " That's good to hear! Come on now, let's go!"

"Hello...." Napstablook greeted sadly as he walked towards us.

"Heya Naps! Where have you bee-"

"MISTER GHOST! CAN I PLAY WITH YOU?" Iri asked loudly as she smiled at him widely.

Napstablook floated back a bit in shock, before smiling sadly at her. " Okay..... I guess...."

She cheered happily and tried to tackle hug him, but she just fazed through him, startling both him and her.

"Oh... Sorry....." Napstablook apologized sadly as she just smiled at him.

" It's fine mister ghost! I forgot! " She chuckled as she stuck her tongue out, giggling at her own mistake as I smiled at the scene.

"Now now, come on, let's go outside so let's play!" I chuckled as she cheered and Naps nodded, smiling sadly.

I faced myself to Dev, who was scaring all those fake ghosts, and monsters. " Iri, Naps, I'll just talk to Dev for a bit, okay?" I said as they nodded.

" Okay! We'll wait! " She cheered as she mumbled something under her breath, smiling widely.

I raised a brow at her sudden peculiar attitude, but smiled at her. I walked towards Dev, his back facing me. I put my hand on his shoulder as he spoke.

"You're really good with kids, Ash." He complimented me and turned around as I grinned.

" I've been with kids around me my whole life. I guess they're attracted to my aura..?" I said as I spoke unsure at the end.

He chuckled. "You've got a warm and kind aura, I guess that's why."

I couldn't help but be embarrassed about my aura, I blushed slightly but smiled. " I guess so. Now come on, let's get out before you scare more people." I giggled as he shrugged.

I grabbed his hand and lead him to the Iri and Naps. I grabbed Iri's hand with my free hand and lead them to the others, Naps floating behind us.

" Heya guys!" I waved at them, giggling as (Y/n) smiled, or smirked at something.

"Huh? What's wrong (N/n)?" I asked as she giggled. " What's wrong???" I asked more urgently, making her giggle harder.

"Y-Your hand-pfft-" She tried to speak, yet that's all she could answer. I looked at my hands, soon realizing that I held Dev's hand for a long while.

" I'm sorry Dev!" I apologized sheepishly as I quickly let go of his hand. He just shrugged and gave me a reassuring smile before turning away.

" Anyways, it's time to go home, right?" I reminded them as I looked at the time.

" But an amusement park trip isn't complete without a Ferris Wheel ride!" Iri complained as I chuckled.

" Of course, Iri. Now, everyone! Get into groups of two!

These are the groups:

Me and Dev
(Y/n) and Aaron
Napstablook and Iri
Blue and Fell
Alphys and Fresh
Papyrus ( He's alone 'cause he's a Cinnamon Roll)

We quickly got some cotton candy, the line was quite long, as the cotton candy was very yummy! I couldn't help but chuckle as Iri jumped up and down in excitement when we lined up.

Dev and I started talking about weird things, one of the lines were:

" If anime was in real life, then reality would be like a fantasy, right?" I asked, spacing out.

" If anime was in real life, then imagine those anime character faces based on Hunan faces, imagine those eyes, nose, and mouth they have." He wondered as I chuckled.

When we got to order, I ordered the plain blue and pink cotton candy. I've always thought blue goes well with almost every color, I think it's just me.

If I had a thought, then I forgot the thought I thought, then I would start trying to find the thought I thought. Wow, so many "Thoughts"!

We started getting in Line for the Ferris Wheel. Dev and I continued with our weird conversations, we have the same taste though, except that he's a bit in the dark side.

I wonder, if anyone likes me? I must not think of these things! I slapped both of my cheeks with both hands, resting my hands on my cheeks as I groaned sadly.

I munched on my cotton candy and felt it dissolve ad disappear in my mouth, it was so tasty!

I walked in, Dev following along. We sat together in silence, the atmosphere awkward. He broke the silence.

He cleared his throat. " U-Ummm.... I don't know how to start this," I looked up at him. " But how would you feel, if I said-"
