~First Person View~"She freaked out seeing one of us! Nearly fainted seeing two! What'll happen when she sees the rest of us?!" He yelled, from the bottom of his lungs. I wonder if he has neighbors, 'cause if so, they must despise him.
"Rest..?" I asked, my voice barely audible. "Grillby.. What is he talking about..?"
I felt Grillby looking dead into my eyes. "... The Underground."
***
I guess I wanted it to be a joke. I wanted Grillby to tell me that he wasn't planning on taking me to the most dangerous place in all of time. But he never did. He just stared at me and waited for a reaction.I think he wanted me to be calm. He wanted me to prove G wrong. I... I technically did. I didn't scream. I didn't resist. I just pressed my back against the wall, slid down and closed my eyes.
I could hear G scoff angrily and Grillby sigh. It wasn't a disappointed sigh, though. It was more so full of relief. He must've expected me to react like how G said I would.
I felt heat radiating close to my skin, and figured it was Grillby. "I know you're afraid, and I completely understand." He said. "But please, Frisk..."
I stayed completely silent. I lifted my legs and rested my elbows on my knees, using my palms to cover my face.
"You don't have to trust G. Sometimes, I myself don't. But you can trust me, Frisk." His voice was so smoothly reassuring. But I still said nothing. I only nodded between my hands.
To that, I heard G mumble a, "Excuse me?"
But I knew that if I spoke, Grillby would hear the fear in my voice and lose all hope in me. I didn't want that. I didn't want Grillby to think of me as some racist human. I didn't want G to be right.
Grillby swept me up in his arms, swiftly and safely. For some reason, his heat didn't burn me. It was like having an automatically heated blanket wrapping around me like meat in a burrito.
He began walking, and I closed my eyes. I had to imagine a happy place. Anywhere but here. I wasn't as afraid as I'd be if I weren't in Grillby's arms. I'd be terrified if he weren't holding me with so much precaution. I trusted that he wouldn't let anything happen to me.
***
My eyes had been closed for a while. I felt so warm and cuddled up. It was the first time that I'd felt comfort in a while. It was the first time that I'd felt safe. I could've slept longer but my eyes shot open without my approval. It was an instant reflex of fear.
I saw a flash of an image. It was terrifying, yet I had no idea what it meant.
I knew that it wasn't good, and that whatever it was, it instilled a deep horror.
But it was just three simple lines.
Formed in a dim red smile.
As I was waking up and forcing myself away from the image and into consciousness, Grillby's voice was coming into tune. "Fr-"
There was silence as his sentence cut off. "Are you-" Then more broken silence.
Then there was G's voice. "Why isn't she-" More silence. "Grillbs, wake her u-"
Then my eyes fully shot open.
