Waves

(trigger warning)

The weight of the world
Tied around my ankle
In the ocean of universe

Slowly drowning
No tears left to cry
I fight my way up
Till I'm too tired to try

I let the water take me
Embrace me
Suffocate me
It's serene waves being the last of what I heard
I let my life go
No longer a flightless bird

I slowly go down
The top of the ocean getting farther and farther
The pressure begins to work it's way through my body
My heart beats race
It hits harder and harder

I begin to pray to the god I no longer believe in
Hoping for a miracle to make it stop
I wished I had been dead
Now I wish I could get back to the top

If anyone is suicidal, please remember that you aren't alone...and you shouldn't suffer alone. If you have anyone to talk to, preferably someone who specializes in mental health, please do. Keeping it to yourself does more harm than good.
