Chapter Three:
Draco's Return
Dante sat in the Gryffendor common room bored out of his mind. He was feeling too lazy to pull another prank, and he had no intentions to do his transfiguration homework any time soon. He crumpled up some parchment throwing it in the air like a ball. He grumbled lowly to himself, throwing the make-shift parchment ball away. He grabbed his back rummaging through it. He spotted his potions homework, reminding him he was going to meet Katrina in the courtyard in less than twenty minutes!
He threw his bag aside, pulling his shirt on as he ran down the hall.
....
Katrina looked at her watch, letting out a sigh.
"Late again..." she muttered to herself...
She sat under an old silver Burch tree, reading a random school book. Katrina wanted to go talk to her father again, but she knew he was teaching a class.
"Ok! I'm here!" said Dante panting.
Katrina looked at him over her book.
"What took you so long? were you trying to talk to a fourth year girl again?" asked Katrina teasingly
"no! well not this time... I just wasn't paying attention to what time it was." replied Dante with a weak smile.
He sat down next to her yanking the book out of her hand.
"Potions, again Katrina. Your just like your dad." he said looking through her book.
Katrina grabbed the book back.
"Well at least I can understand potions! not like transfiguration..." she said.
Dante laughed. "fine, read what you will I won't say anything." said Dante still laughing.
Katrina smiled, pulling out a peach from her bag. Dante's eyes lit up at the sight of the fruit. She pulled it away before he could grab it.
She grinned, taking a bite of the peach in front of Dante.
"why are you doing this to me!" pouted Dante.
Katrina grinned even wider, acting like she was going to take another bite.
"That peach is mine!" yelled Dante tackling Katriana.
He pried it out of her hand, jumping to his feet.
"Victory!!!" he cried, eating the peach.
Katrina giggled, rolling on her back.
"Come sit down before you hurt yourself!" she said trying to suppress her laughing.
Dante sat down again, a wide grin on his face.
"you're worse than Rosalina and her green tea... and thats saying something." said Katrina.
Dante looked down at his watch, "What its been a an hour already?!" he said in disbelief.
"well if you got here on time that hour would have lasted allot longer. See you tomorrow Dante." said Katrina grabbing her bag.
She gave Dante a quick hug before running down the hall. Katrina ran into someone falling to the ground.
"Hey watch where your going you-" Draco stopped his verbal onslaught when he spotted Katrina.
"Oh hello Katrina..." he said with a grin.
"Hello Malfoy." she muttered...
Draco extended his hand for her, his grin still apparent on his face.
Katrina looked at him carefully, not sure if she should trust him. She slowly took his hand, keeping a close eye on him.
"Thank you, and I'm sorry for bumping into you I wasn't watching where I was going." She said lowly.
She continued to walk but Malfoy grabbed her arm keeping her there. Katrina wanted to glare at him, but kept her composure.
'Please let me go Draco..." she said calmly.
"Ah so you do know my name." he said still holding onto her arm.
Katrina had enough of his company, jerking her arm from his grasp.
"see you in Herbolagy Katrina!" he called out to her as she walked down the hall.
....
Katrina did not look behind her the entire class, Malfoy would constantly try to catch her attention every chance he got. She struggled to focus on her notes long enough, with out Malfoy tossing a note at her. Katrina wanted to rip her hair out and yell across the class room.
'Can't he get it through his thick head that I don't want to talk to him!!" she growled under her breath.
Professor Sprout dismissed the class much to Katrina's relief. She let out a long breath, she couldn't wait to get out of the class all she had to do was get past Malfoy and-
"Hello Katrina..." he said giving her his trademark grin.
"BLOODY HELL!!!" she yelled in her head
"Oh hello Malfoy..." she said politely, ignoring the fact that the last thing she wanted to do was stay and talk to him.
"I just wanted to-" he was cut off my Professor Sprout.
"Move will you Mr Malfoy! your bocking the doorway!" She called out,
Katrina took her chance, she darted down the hall without another word to Malfoy accidentally leaving her notes in the process.
....
"Noooo! I left my notes somewhere and the test is in two days!" cried Katrina hitting her head on the table.
Rosalina patted her back.
"It's alright... you'll find them!" she said reassuringly.
"Yeah, she's right." chimed in Nyre.
Draco walked up to Katrina dangling her notes in front of her.
Her eyes lit up when she saw her notes.
"Give me those!" she said grabbing at the bits of parchment.
"No..." he stated plainly.
She let out growl, pulling out her wand.
"Give them back." she said pointing her wand at him.
He let out a laugh. "What are you going to do?"
"Only this!" she said in a happy tone, casting a jelly legs jinx.
She smiled in delight when her notes were in her hands once more.
"That's what you get you twit!" piped Rosalina laughing at Draco.
