Chapter 10

Caleb's POV

"They're still..." I can't even believe this.

"Yeah. They are," Cade says.

"How do you know?" I ask.

"I went over to his apartment, and I saw a blanket on the couch and lipstick on a pillow," he answers.

"How do you know it was Bella's?"

"I saw them hugging outside his door," he looks down.

"God, I just can't... I was coming back to her. I was going to try to.." I shake my head, "no."

The door then opens and Bella comes in, holding a small packet of papers, "what's going on?"

"I'm gonna go," Cade says before brushing past Bella and leaving.

She turns to me and smiles, "Caleb, I am so SO happy that you're back," she holds up the papers, "I even bought this house from Jace for us. I wasn't expecting this but I'm just.. so excited for a life together. For a life with you."

"A life with me? Is that what you want?" I ask.

"Of course it is. What are you talking about?"

"Are you sure that's what you want?" I raise my voice a little.

"You're acting so weird, what's going on?" She asks.

Maddie's POV

I'm startled when I hear a loud knock on my door. Confused, I go over and open it to a very happy looking Gabby.

"I have tea," she says, walking in.

"Okay?" I laugh, "spill it."

"Bella and Jace," she smiles.

"What about them?" I ask.

"They're still at it," she shakes her head slowly, smile growing, "Bella is still sleeping with Jace."

"What?" I ask, eyes wide, "how do you know that?"

"Cade told me."

"Well, how does Cade know?"

"He went to Jace's and saw them hugging outside of his door. When he went in, there was lipstick on the pillow on the couch."

"Oh my gosh," I cross my arms and walk over to the window, "and she told me she was fighting for her marriage."

"Looks like it, huh?" Gabby laughs.

"And I've been trying to support their marriage. God, I was so stupid," I say looking down at the busy street.

"I had a bad feeling," Gabby says.

"I can't support it. I can't support their marriage anymore. Not if Bella is going to keep doing this to Caleb."

Caleb's POV

"Are you sure it's not Jace that you want? A life with Jace?" I ask.

"Caleb?" Bella furrows her eyebrows.

"I know, Bella. I know that you've still been going behind my back and sleeping with him!" I yell.

"No I haven't! What?!"

"Whatever," I mumble.

"I have no idea what you're talking about!" She cries.

"Just don't!" I throw my hands up, "I can't do this anymore."

"Caleb, I'm so confused. Please tell me what's going on," she begs.

"No. No, Bella! I am tired of all of the lies and the going behind my back and doing... that. I am going to be there for our child but there is no way that we can keep this going."

"What are you talking about? Caleb, please explain this. Please," she sobs.

"You want Jace, Bella. You want him. And you know what I want? A divorce."
