Chapter 6

Lexi's POV:

When you just want to be alone, people should stay away. Am I speaking Japanese!! Didn't think so.

Lying on my bed I play with the bandage around my wrist. Since that girl had the nerve to trash talk about me to my damn face, I have been lying on my back, and that was a few hours ago. I just left school and ran home. Well I haven't been lying here the whole time... I tried to hang myself in the bathroom, but I cut the rope before I died. Now I have this purple and red line around my neck a few inches wide. How am I gonna hide that? My parents haven't come home yet... Never mind I just heard the door shut. I put on a hoodie so they can't see my bruise on my neck in case they come to my bedroom.

I peak out into the hall way and see my parents all lovey dovey. What the hell? They have been like this for a few months now or something. I walk back into my room and slump down onto my bed. 2 minutes later my door swings open revealing my parents... But it looks like my mum has gained some weight.

Note to self: look up exercises for mum.

" Lexi your father and I have something to tell you" she beams. Oh god.

" Yes we do. Your mother is-" my dad starts but my mum cuts him off.

" I'm pregnant!!!!" My mum practically screams. Dear lord. No no no. This can't be happening.

" Your what!?" I choke out. I storm out and slam the front door behind me. I don't know where to go...

" Lexi?" A girl's voice comes from behind me. She has concern clear in her voice. I turn around and come face to face with Anne. I look at my feet and she gives me a tight hug. " Are you okay?" She asks.

" No." I say before I start sobbing. " My mum is pregnant! I don't want another sibling! This new baby can't replace Nyah! Nobody can replace Nyah and this new baby will remind me too much of her! My parents are only trying to replace her. I don't think I can go back there right now... But I don't have anywhere to go." I wipe the tears that have streamed down my face.

" Would you like to stay at my house for the night?" She asks.

I gape. " You would do that for me?"

" It's the least I can do to. Besides it will be fun, and my parents will adore you!" She beams, this could be fun!

" I'll just have to sneak in my house and grab my overnight bag. I'll be right over okay?" I smile and she nods and runs off the her house.

I quietly open my front door and run up to my room grabbing my bag and stuffing a pair of pjs, 2 pairs of undies, 2 pairs of socks, a tank top, a t-shirt, 2 pairs of shorts, my hair brush, my tooth brush and finally my makeup.

I run down the stairs as quietly as I can but I can't help but hear my mother's cries. Just keep running Lexi. I close the front and sprint across the yard and knock on Anne's door.

" Hey Lexi!!! Come on in, let me take your bag." She smiles and puts my bag in her room which is upstairs somewhere. She introduces me to her parents whom are very nice and quite welcoming. We go up into her bedroom and lay on her floor watching " Hours". I cried more than once. Then her door bell rings and her parents call Anne down saying there is someone named Cassidy is at the door. I walk down the stairs but stop halfway to be able to see the person at the door. Cassidy is wearing a white crop top that says " Can't, gotta walk my unicorn." And white short shorts. Her long auburn hair is pulled into a loose bun, and her green eyes have so much excitement in them... It looks like she's seeing rainbows or something.

" Hey Cassidy!!!" Anne squeals and hugs her tightly.

" Hey! I was wondering if you wanted to have a sleepover?" She asks.

" Well... Lexi is kinda staying over right now." She looks up the stairs to me and smiles at me. No!!! Not the attention!!go back to your guys' small talk, I liked that much better.

" Uhm, maybe if you guys wanted to have a sleepover all three of us could sleepover?" I play with a beaded bracelet that my sister made for me a week before she died, I haven't taken it off since.

" That's a great idea!!!" Anne beams.

So Cassidy runs off to pack and Anne and I search for a different movie for the three of us to watch when Cassidy gets back. We also kinda maybe made 4 bags of popcorn.

So we watched 3 movies and surprisingly all of the popcorn... Then we checked out cute guys on Instagram, and maybe we had a pillow fight... But I won!!! Suckerz! I am a black belt in taekwondo so they can't beat me... Most of the guys can't.

We finally fall asleep around 2 in the morning. I fell asleep on the floor cuddled in blankets, Cassidy was right next to me surrounded by pillows and blankets, maybe we attempted to make a pillow fort on the ground. Just maybe we did that. Anne fell alseep on her bed... BORING!!!!

Yet I wake up with my leg over Cassidy's body and her arm over my body, and Anne was nowhere to be found. I blow in Cassidy's face to wake her and she pops open her eyes and we start to wrestle on the ground. Who do you think won? THATS RIGHT! ME! I stretch out my muscles once I pin her to the ground and she huffs.

" You cheated." She mutters. But I just chuckle. We walk downstairs to find Anne making pancakes!!!!

" Do those have chocolate chip in them?" My eyes get wide.

" Of course!!!" Anne squeals.

" YAS!!!!" Cassidy and I yell and jump into the seats facing her. We pound out forks and knives and chant we "want food!!!!!"

I think life is taking a nap from its awful deeds, because last night and this morning was the best day since the incident. Life finally got tired, but it'll awake sometime in the future.

My best friend kept telling me to update :D. I am just so tired right now. I just loved and plus I just got back from the cottage. Sorry!!!
