☆WRITTEN IN OCTOBER OF 2018☆

So I wrote this dumb thing because I was jamming to this old song (I attached it at the top, there) and I got some lame ass "high school" idea while I was working out and had nothing to do after studying but write something on my phone. Anyway, unsurprisingly, it was about ughhhhhhhhghh Sebastian, who I claim to hate but, as is true with Light Yagami, actually probably like solely because they're fucked Up/evil.

So, here goes. Basically what happens is simple: You guys gotta keep your interest for each other on the DL, because well, you DO hate him. Or, you used to.

"Hey! Hey! Heyyy {Y/N}!" You groaned, stalking ahead more quickly, clutching your books towards you with a greater sense of security. A hand fell on your shoulder, yanking you back, effectively stopping your quest for flight. "What, are you ignoring me now?"

"No, Lizzie. I'm not."

"She is."

"Shut up, Ciel." You rolled your eyes as your friend, your chipper, hyperactive best friend defended her boyfriend. They were the school's golden couple, Weston's Most Likely to Get Married. He wasn't offended. Not at all.

"Anyway, do you have a date to prom?" You didn't even have to turn around to see Ciel smirk.

"I told you already. I'm not going."

"But you've gotten asked by like three people the week! Edward and Soma and even that quiet nerd with the glasses asked you!" She started to pout. "Not that I really can put it past you for rejecting my brother, it's your choice, but it would be so amazing to have you as a sister in law."

"Will would've been preferable." You sighed, finding some dumb excuse to appease the sister of someone you considered to be an irritating snob. "He's got...black hair. I like that sort of thing."

"Have you thought about asking Sebastian? I don't think he's going to ask anyone on his own." Ciel broke in. "He's got black hair." His nonchalance seemed forced.

"What?!??" You halted, almost dropping your homework, textbooks and numerous pencils all over the floor. It'd be a terrible ordeal to clean them up in the overcrowded hallways, especially now that classes were ending. Soon, your relatively isolated footpath would be flooded with freshmen, leaving your solitude permanently shattered. "Why would I ask him? I think he's-"

"Yeah. We know." Ciel waved his hand. "You hate him." He grinned. "You're in the minority there, though. Everyone likes him."

You scoffed. "Yeah, every girl."

"You forgot to mention-" Lizzie interjected.

"Grelle's basically a girl anyway." Her boyfriend cut her off. "Come on, let's get to Algebra."

You were glad they were in a different period than you. Though, in spite of that being comforting, you still had class with something, or rather someone you claimed to hate more than math itself.

______________

You knew exactly where he was from the gaggle of young women surrounding him. You couldn't see him, but you didn't care.

You had to act like you still hated him. You were a woman of your word. At least, you tried to be.

"{Y/N}! A boy with shaggy brown hair waved to you from across the room. You smiled. "Come over here! Sit with me today!"
