"Georgina?" Scarlett nudged me in an attempt to wake me up.
"Yeah?" I wiped the tiredness out of my eyes.
"It is Saturday morning, you promised to take me to the library." She was already dressed from head to toe, she was nervous as much was apparent from the missing nail polish from her fingernails despite them being painted around half an hour ago.
"Ok I'll be ready in a minute." I chirped back. I looked in my draws of clothes for something to wear. I felt like wearing a necklace and some bracelets that Cleo had sent me for my 15th. Which was last Tuesday . They were blue amethysts, so I picked out a pair of blue flats, purple lipstick, Egyptian Pharaoh styled eyeliner with silvery-blue eyeshadow to match, I straightened my naturally brunette hair before I finally picked out a dark blue leather jacket and a breezy blue midi marbled dress. 'Don't let it get to you ok.' That is the last thing that Magnus said to me. "Time to go." I smiled to the mirror. We were both walking to the library at 9, the streets were still quite new to me so I tried to recall the way there. We made it there as the library opened at 9:30.
We both searched for the book before finding it a few rows above where mine was.
"Here we go, Scarlet Olive Fire-fang." I grabbed it and carefully brought it down.
She began reading, I didn't look at first. Then she showed me it.
"My mother was Valerie Timber who then married Igneous Fire-fang before having two children. But then they died in a freak teleporting accident with the other child my brother." She explained.
"That would explain quite a lot." I nodded.
"What did yours say?" She asked.
"I am the daughter of the elemental king and queen in the magic realm. They were beheaded shortly after, I was born and teleported to an orphanage. My last-name was unknown so they gave me the name Livingston." I explained.
"Do you think they will come after you?" She asked worriedly.
"Who knows, maybe perhaps not?" I shrugged.
"I am more worried about Magnus at the moment." I sighed truthfully, to Scarlet who nodded back.
"Are you meeting Gillian soon?" She asked.
After we had gone back to our room.
"At 3, it's about 1 now." I sighed.
"I'll help you choose an outfit which is a bit more date ish." She smirked.
"Yeah sure we are going to a card club. Not a beach or a catwalk." I sighed after she showed me two of my options.
"What about something that looks like I am hardly trying? This is not a date." I smirked.
"Sure, it isn't but if it were a date I would let you borrow some of my clothes?" Scarlet giggled.
"Fine even though it so isn't. A date." I sighed.
"Let's get you ready." She excitedly squealed, beginning to raid through her closet to find outfits which were fit for walking around in yet looking fashionable. Which may or may not have meant automatically discarding half of the outfits in her closet, for practical reasons. Which lead to me wondering which girls can actually walk in 10-inch heels, not me. I mean I am about average height, for a female even at the age 15. Which means that Scarlet chooses black leather ankle boots, which I can easily walk in unlike the heels, and a warm bomber jacket a royal blue colour which reminds me of the night sky. It's around 13 degrees c outside meaning Aurora is in her element, as a long cold winter is ahead of all of us. How I was wearing a dress, an hour ago a summer one at that, escapes me completely. "How about some jeans?" Scarlet asked holding up 3 pairs a white pair, dark blue pair and a black pair. "I think the blue pair. With the long blue silk top." I confirmed.
"Here you go." Scarlet handed me the rest of the outfit.
"Thank you." I giggled and hugged her.
"That's alright, by the way, anyone who hated you before is an idiot." Scarlet smiled brightly.
"Now let me redo your makeup, and let's comb your hair." Scarlet continued rummaging through her desk draw for the perfectly complimenting makeup. I closed my eyes and stayed still for 40 minuets while Scarlet redid my makeup to match my outfit. Then braided my hair into a crown which she clamped to my head. I opened my eyes, to see a different me. A girl with a perfect complexion, yet the same gap in between her front two teeth. The girl with the same grey crystallised eyes, which were surrounded by silvery blue eyeshadow, black mascara and eyeliner. The girl with the same coloured hair, yet she looks amazing with her braided crown. "Wow." I gasped looking at the mirror at myself.
"Here is your necklace and bracelets." She handed them back.
"Now have fun on your date." She winked shoving me into the hallway before I could protest and tell her that it wasn't a date.
