March 1st-
It is today, I only had 2 hours of sleep last night. Well, I say sleep it was more worry based hallucinations but it was quite regenerating for once. Gillian was awake when I went to see him at 3 this morning. We agreed to go and get coffee for energy, lets face it we had little in the way of sleep. I had a huge cup to stop my mind waking up before the caffeine kicked in fully. My mind is quiet for once as me and Gillian talk, "what is going on inside your head?" he asked."Many things most of the time, I seem calm but my mind is the opposite. Imagine 5 people running around screaming in mass panic, and that is what goes through my head sometimes. The red pill calms them down, the sleep tablet makes them sleep. They are asleep at the moment." I explained.
"That is a weird way of explaining it, but it makes it easy to imagine." Gillian smiled.
"It's exhausting, but it makes me who I am. What kind of things go through your head on the average day?" I nodded.
"Not much really, daily tasks. Any homework or missions, ideas for new nicknames." Gillian smirked.
"At least you didn't call me princess, I would have punched you if you had. So, thanks Ladon." I winked.
"No worries Techna." He whispered.
We were the only ones in the coffee house except the barista and a coffee wired student with an essay due in the morning. Who was literally shaking from the caffeine, I remember thinking how ironic it would be for them to be writing a report on the side effects of caffeine consumption from coffee. Until, Ladon interrupted, "Are you nervous for the mission?".
"Kind of-" don't lie, it's alright, "alright very nervous."
"It's alright to be. You know, it's something you never really get used to the thought of fighting another to the death. But you have us so, it won't be you who loses ever again." Gillian smirked.
"So what is your biggest secret?" I asked without even thinking about it.
"I am ace." He whispered.
"Huh?" I tilted my head and remembered Nathan telling me about what that meant, he was 'ace' which means Asexual. And I realised I am too to an extent. Gillian goes there, so he is too.
"I am a gray ace, meaning I feel little in the way of sexual attraction." Gillian went on.
"Me too, I had a friend who told me about it. I was always considered the weirdo because of it. My lack of interest in anyone." I explained.
"Really? How did you realise what it was the club that is?" Gillian asked awkwardly.
"I remembered my friend and I talking about a similar thing the first time we went there." I explained.
"You really are a smart one aren't you." He laughed.
"Well everyone said you never dated anyone, so I put two and two together pretty quickly." I giggled from the caffeine.
"I think that is enough coffee for you." Gillian seized my coffee although he was correct to do so. So I didn't grab it back off him.
"Sorry, I have this reaction to large amounts of Caffeine." I was still giggling.
When Gillian pulled me closer to him, I closed my eyes.
His lips lightly touched mine pulled away after a second and he whispered in my ear, "If I die today, I will die happily knowing I kissed you once."
I kissed him after that for a moment, he was shocked but accepted it.
"A Girl has to have a good first kiss you know." I winked.
