86: airport

Request: The reader is going somewhere for a long time and they drive to the airport, just as the reader is getting out of the car, Sebastian tells her to stay and becomes emotional. After a while at the gate, when the reader has to leave, he starts to cry and stuff. It's pretty fluffy and sad.

Saying yes to this once in a lifetime movie deal was probably one of the easiest yeses in your life.

The only problem, however, was that you had to leave the following week to start filming. And that means you had to tell your boyfriend that you're going to be gone for 6 months, possibly even 8.

"Babe, don't be sorry! This is an amazing opportunity, and I'm so proud that you can do what you love," Sebastian tells you.

You feel better about the situation after he reacted like that. But when it was actually time for you to go, that feeling went away.

"I wish we had more time.." he says, his hands gripping the steering wheel.

"I know... Me too," you tell him. "But this is something I really want to do, and I can't give it up now."

He sighs, not replying.

You feel your heart stop when the airport is in sight. You really hate that you have to leave Sebastian, and you hate that he has to drive home by himself.

You lose all thoughts when the car finally parks.

You start to open the passenger side door when you hear a sniffle from beside you.

"Stay.." his voice barely comes out a whisper.

You sigh, tears threatening to spill.

"You know I can't," you reply.

Sebastian looks over to you, a few tears sliding down his cheeks.

You've never seen him like this, and it kills you.

"Why?"

You look away from him, watching a plane take off from the other side of the airport.

"Listen, Seb. I'm always supportive of you, with everything that you do. Why can't you just be supportive of me while I do this? Is that too hard to ask?" you say, quite harshly.

You get out of the car and slam the door shut. You grab your bags out of the trunk and leave him sitting in the car.

After sitting for what seems like hours, there's about 15 minutes before you should be called to board the plane.

You can't help but feel bad for leaving Sebastian like that, and you wonder if he's still in the parking lot.

"Flight 162 to Berlin is now boarding. Repeat, flight 162 to Berlin is now boarding."

With one last sigh, you stand up, grabbing your carry-on.

You look around one last time for Sebastian, hoping for the all cliché airport movie scene.

You are about to hand your ticket over when you hear someone yell your name.

You swing around, seeing Sebastian running towards you.

Once he finally reaches you, he pulls you in for a long awaited kiss.

"I'm sorry... I just hate that knowing that I'll wake up everyday without you by my side..."

You giggle. "This is all too much like a movie, Seb. I forgive you... but I have to get on that plane."

He frowns. "I was hoping that this could be the part where you decide that you don't want to go after all."

You shake your head. "I HAVE to do this. I'll call you when I land. I love you.."

With that, you turn back to the door.

Sebastian watches with sad eyes as you leave the room, and board the plane.

He waits by the window before watching the plane take off, and starts to make the long and lonely trip home.
