44: thank you

"Sebastian," you cry into your phone.

"(Y/n)? Are you okay?"

You can't stop sobbing long enough to answer. "I-I told them... My parents kicked me out. Can I come stay with you?"

"Give me 10 minutes.."

It's been 15 years since that night. Now 33 year old (y/n) had called her best friend on that cold and lonely night, and he hasn't left her side since. Her parents weren't the happiest of people  when she told them she was pregnant and broke.

"Mom, I'm going to be late for school! Let's go!" Your son yells. "Nevermind! My friends mom is picking me up!"

"Have fun.." you say. "Wait, let me rephrase that. Don't try to kill anyone today!"

Sebastian chuckles from behind you.

Sebastian has been the best father figure for your child ever since he was born. Of course, the baby had called him dad when he was old enough, but now your son understands that he isn't his father. But you wouldn't be opposed to the idea of Sebastian adopting him.

Other than the fact that you and Sebastian aren't exactly together.

"You have a day off?" You ask after your son closes the front door.

"Yeah, I was hoping to spend it with you?"

Sebastian never made you get a job. And honestly, you couldn't seem to find one that benefited you and your child. Sebastian always tells you that he makes enough to support the three of you and he wouldn't have it any other way.

"Yes please! We never get to spend time together without the devil," you laugh.

As much as you love your 14 year old, he can be a handful. And you know that it's just the age. Being a freshman in high school is tough.

"I want to ask you something..." Seb says. "I know that this should've happened a long time ago, but I would really love it if you would agree to go on a date with me?"

You smile and nod. "Yeah, this definitely should've happened a long time ago... and thank you, by the way for all that you do for us.. I never would've made it without you.."
