Iris groaned when the giggles of her best friends pulled her concentration away from her essay. She looked up just in time to see Dorcas writing down an answer for Camilla in the note they were sharing since the moment they sat down in the Library table to study. The Hufflepuff slid the note to Camilla again. Iris looked over at Bambi, but the Ravenclaw found it far easier to concentrate than she did.

"Girls, please... Be quiet..." Iris pleaded and the both of them looked over at their friend.

"Alright, alright, sorry." Camilla nodded, putting the note away.

"Yeah, sorry, dear... We should be studying anyway..." Dorcas added.

"Yeah, but I don't want to." The blonde girl whined, throwing her head back in frustration.

"But you have to." Dorcas argued back.

"No, I don't. They can't force me to do anything."

"Yes, they can and they actually do. If you don't make this Potions essay, Slughorn will give you a bad grade and you'll fail."

"Who said I won't make it? I have Iris' one to copy from."

"I'm sorry?" The red headed girl, who had decided to let them both argue with themselves and get back to her work, lifted up her eyes from the papers and stared at Camilla.

"Oh, come on... You always let me."

"Yeah, but I can see now that Dorcas was right. I shouldn't have ever done it in the first place. Now you think you can use my essays all the time to copy them."

"You told her that?" Camilla frowned at Dorcas and the brunette looked away.

"I might have..." She mumbled, apparently ashamed.

"Oh, but still... I mean... Please..." The blonde girl begged, turned back to Iris.

"No." She responded. Perhaps she was way too angry at the moment. But how could she not? She had just spend a whole hour on a Care of Magical Creatures homework and now, was trying to finish that long as hell essay for dear old Professor Slughorn and his subject that she didn't really like. Of course she was bitter, and Camilla's pleading wasn't doing her any good. "Besides... You're in Ravenclaw. You're supposed to be smart, aren't you?"

"And you're in Hufflepuff so you're supposed to be kind, but, oh, well..."

"Girls..." Bambi rolled her eyes, still quite oblivious to the whole thing.

Iris lifted her own eyes and stared at Camilla. She didn't seem offended, but she also wasn't smiling like she usually would when they shared comments like this between each other.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that you're not smart, it's just..."

"I know." The Latina girl shrugged. "You're trying to study and I'm annoying you. Besides... You're right... I should stop copying from you." Camilla stopped talking and Iris lifted an eyebrow at her. "That is to say, if Doe doesn't let me copy hers."

"Potions essay?" Dorcas laughed quite bitterly. "Only if you want an Acceptable. We both know you're way better at the subject than I am."

"Doesn't matter." Camilla shrugged.

"It's not finished." Dorcas said.
