Knock knock knock. The door! But by the time I had got to the door, the postman was already halfway down the street. Busy day I suppose. Two letters and a parcel. One for mum, parcel for Ellie probably that skirt letter for... me?

I tore open the seal that enveloped my future and dug in to find an empty lanyard and a letter that read:

Dear Ms Davidson,

I am pleased to be the one informing you on your new job title as the year six teacher for magic control and I'm sure you'll fit in just fine with the rest of my teachers.

I remember miss smith, the teacher I had for magic control in year six. She was always the one everyone was talking about- 'ooh she's soooo nice' they would say- which I totally agree to.

It was her job that brought her spirit up but sadly retired last year which is why our school informed me to send you this letter. I'm really sorry to cut this short but I hope to see you soon.

Thank you and I wish the best,
From Kasie / 10C

My eyes went wide at the letter I have a job. I'm a teacher. As you could imagine, this came as the best of shock for me. Teachers had a high salary of 40¥ (the equivelant to £45) an hour which is really good.
