September is the ninth month of the year but the first month of an academic year. Most people will look for a new beginning at new years day, but for students and teachers, it often happens when a new school year starts.
People will start new schools, make new friends, get a new job or even a promotion, or much more!
Today is the first day of September and that's when school starts on our island of Jotunham. New children will start reseption classes and students who have left year thirteen (age seventeen) will have left the school and gone on to get a job such as myself.
Some students will stay behind for my year and the year above to do further studying to have a job in mitholagy or something humanoid. Which, I'll have to admit, I find slightly odd since I'm a teacher and there are students my age and older, but that's fine I suppose since I only work in the junior section of the school which goes up to year nine.
I popped on my sunset dress and some cute jewelry to match it got to make a good first impression! I told myself before grabbing some matching designer pumps and handbag filled with my files and lesson notes for this week. I slid my lanyard, stating Miss Wilson. Joined September 1st 2018 And a picture, over my two Dutch plats which hid most of my frizzed hair but still not all.
The heel of my left pump didn't leave the floor at the same time as my heal itself but still made it out the front door. I stepped into my silver porsche and started it up. After five minutes, I had many thoughts going threw my head including do I look OK? I wonder if I have a friendly class! What if the other teachers don't like me? What if I was DOUBLE BOOKED? No, no. I got a call directed at me and I even went there to have my lanyard done and a tour of the school. What if I keep forgetting people's names? It's fine, they gave me a register. SHIT I DON'T HAVE MY REGISTER!
I slammed my brakes so hard I almost flew forwards in my seat. Then made a quick u-turn and zoomed back home, grabbed my regester off the kitchen table and hedded back over to the school.
