Friend or Foe

Hello Jason,what are you doing around here?”jeff asked,i stared at the guy in front of me whose name was apparently Jason,he stared at me with the same strange look on his face. Jeff stared at jason impatiently,”Well,i was following a young girl,one of my victims actually,when your friend ran into me”he stated,”The only girl i see around here is absentia,so i think you should look somewhere else”jeff told him.Jason nodded then looked down at me once again,”Absentia,is it?”he said,i just nodded,”Well,it was nice meeting you”he said and walked away.I looked at jeff once jason had left,”How do know him?”i asked,.”Do you ever stop asking questions?,and before you ask,no he doesn’t work for the operator”he said,i watched as jason disappeared into the woods,i didn’t know know if jason was someone i could trust or if i should avoid him.Jeff turned to me and started to explain who jason was,”Jason is a Toymaker,I’m just gonna tell you to be careful around him because if you piss him off he will turn you into his next plaything,got it?”jeff said,i nodded,suddenly terrified.Jeff sighed,”Just try not to get yourself killed,Can you handle that?”he said,”of course i can,i’m not a little kid you know”i replied.Jeff just stared at me like i had insulted him or something but then turned away from me and left,i stood there watching him.I became so distracted thinking about what jeff said that i didn’t realize the thick mist-like fog gathering around me,jeff had already disappeared from my sight and i wasn’t so sure that i wanted to see if jason was still around here.I started moving away from the fog when it started rising off the ground,i walked faster in order to get away but ran into someone and to the ground.I looked up to see laughing jack leaning against a tree,”Hey kiddo,What are you doing?”he asked,i got off the ground and looked around,the fog was nowhere in sight,”Hey laughing jack,do you know anything about Jason?”i asked.Laughing jack stared at me,”Jason?,as in the Toymaker,is that the jason you’re talking about?”he said.I nodded and started looking around me,”What was jason doing around here?”laughing jack said,”He said he was looking for a girl,one of his victims i guess”i replied.I heard laughing jack chuckle under his breath,”I kinda feel sorry for the bitch that pissed him off”laughing jack said.I could tell that laughing jack knew something about jason,”How can you tell when he’s pissed off?”i asked,Laughing jack got quiet for a moment,”Well that’s easy,jason has two different sides to him,you just gotta stay on right side of him”he said,laughing jack could tell i was confused by what he said.”How about i just make this easy,when jason is in a good mood his eyes are yellow,but when somebody pisses him off his eyes turn bright green,what color were his eyes when you saw him?”he asked.I thought about when i first saw jason then i remembered his eyes,”They were green,the brightest green i’ve ever seen”i told laughing jack.”Wait,you said he was looking for a girl and he’s pissed off,how come he didn’t kill you?”he asked,”I think he was planning to but jeff stood in front of me before he could do anything”i said.”That’s unusual,you mean jeff protected you from him”laughing jack said,”Yeah,i told you he was acting weird”i said,”Well jeff’s always been weird but he’s never acted like this before,i wonder what got into him?”laughing jack wondered.I wanted to know the same thing,”You know,i think it would be better if you stayed inside today,since jason’s wandering around here”laughing jack said,i agreed with him and headed back to the mansion.The operator understood why i had returned so soon,he told me jason was not a threat or my enemy,i just had to be careful around him,i told him i understood and went to my room.When i opened my door i saw what looked like stuffed animal on my bed along with a note,i grabbed the little toy that sat on my bed,”It was nice meeting you absentia,i hope you enjoy my little gift ~jason”the note said.I knew jason wasn’t my enemy and that i shouldn’t fear him but now i wanted to know how he managed to get into my room,did the operator let him in?,did he come through the window?.I started looking around my room paranoid,afraid that jason was watching me,”Absentia?,is everything alright?”i heard masky ask,”I’m not sure,i found this on my bed,its from jason”i said.Masky grabbed the note and the stuffed toy from me,he started muttering under his breath,”How did he get in here?”i asked him,”Probably the same way he always does,as you probably know by now jason isn’t human,as far as i know he’s some type of demon and has powers,one of them is some type of teleportation,so watch out for a blue door,that's where he comes from”masky explained.Masky gave me the toy back,”I’ll tell the operator that jason was here,let me or the others know if he comes back,okay?”he said,”Okay”i replied.
