The top shelf, why in the hell did everything you need always have to be on the freaking top shelf. As you contemplated if you really needed that specific brand of cereal you suddenly heard your name being called.

"Y/N!"

Looking towards the end of the aisle you couldn't believe your eyes, coming toward you with a huge smile on his face was none other than your old best friend Jordan. He was a hunter you spent a few years working with a while back. You had both gotten along really well and it had actually been some of the best memories of your life. "Jordan!" you yelled. As soon as he reached you he wrapped his arms around your body and lifted you off the ground, twirling you around just like he used to.

At that precise moment Dean and Sam came walking around the opposite end of the aisle in time to see Jordan spin you once again and set you down. Both men looked at each other and then you with confused looks on their faces. Walking up behind you they stood on each side of you in a sort of protective way. You looked up and noticed how they suddenly appeared.

Stepping forward to be in between the brothers and Jordan you looked between them, "Guys this is Jordan, we go way back. Jordan this is Sam and Dean Winchester." The guys all shook hands and something suddenly seemed to click with Jordan and his eyes lit up like he just discovered a new toy. "Wait a minute, Winchesters? Wow you guys are famous in the hunting world. You've taken out some pretty big bads over the years. Its a real honor to meet you." Sam smiled, instantly liking Jordan. "Thanks, so your a hunter too?"

Jordan nodded, "Yeah, going on ten years now. Spent some of my best ones with this little spit fire right here." He grinned and put an arm around your shoulder. You laughed and a small blush formed on your cheeks. Dean noticed and instantly decided he didn't like Jordan, at all.

"Well it was nice meeting you but we really gotta get going, just had to make a quick supply run." You looked at Dean and gave him your best bitch face, "Dude whats the rush?" You looked at Jordan and began shooting questions at him. "So what are you doing here? Where have you been lately? Are you still hunting with Alex?" Jordan laughed and just shook his head. "Y/N we definitely need to catch up, how about meeting up later?" You immediately nodded your head excitedly, "Hell yes! Theres a great bar over on ninth street, meet up there around eight?"

Jordan smiled and pulled you into another hug, "Its a date babe, and you guys should come too! We can all hangout and swap war stories. And yes to answer your question Alex is still putting up with me. I'll make sure he's there tonight, hes been asking about you." Sam agreed and Dean just put on his best fake smile. Jordan noticed how Dean seemed to be standing as close to you as possible and couldn't stop staring at Jordans arm around your shoulder. Damn, this guys got it bad for my girl. This is gonna be fun.

You said goodbye to Jordan and promised to be at the bar later, once he was around the corner you turned and glared at Dean. "Dude what the hell was that!" Dean looked at you and acted like nothing had happened, "What?" Even Sam had noticed Deans cold behavior but he knew exactly why he had acted like that. Dean had been in love with you for the past two years but never said anything. He was too hung up on the idea of losing you to ever tell you how he felt. Everyone he loved seemed to end up dead and he couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to you because of him.

Sam shook his head and put the few items in his arms into your cart, "Alright guys did we get everything?" You shook your head and pointed towards the top shelf behind Sams head, "Help a girl out would you Moose?"
