You never thought you would be one of those girls who had a ton of clothes but the moment she was going to hangout with someone would spend hours getting ready and decide she didn't have a damn outfit to wear. Shaking your head and looking at the chaos that was your room you decided it really didn't matter what you wore. Jordan was used to you in all shades and shapes. He had been there when you first started hunting. You'd been in the game for barely a year when you two met on a case and everything just sort of fell into place from there.
Neither of you were considered pros but you both were skilled enough to watch each others backs on hunts and take out anything in your path. Along with hunting Jordan had taught you a lot about being yourself. Before him you had been someone who never saw themselves as anything but ordinary. You never thought you were pretty or smart or even talented. But Jordan helped you to realize you were a great hunter and actually a bit of a badass once you got the hang of everything. And as for your self image you realized you may not have the prettiest hair, or eyes, or a beautifully shaped body, but you were great anyway. It's not like you were overweight but you definitely didn't complain about the diners you frequented most nights. Besides, who wants to be skinny enough to hide in a shadow when there are so many awesome things to eat in the world like bacon cheeseburgers?
After spending another hour deciding what to wear and putting on light makeup you were ready. You'd decided to go with comfortable but cute. You wore your most comfortable pair of skinny jeans, a black tank and a red and black checkered plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up to your elbows. Your favorite pair of boots completed the outfit. You usually kept your hair up in a messy bun or pony tail but decided tonight to literally "let your hair down" and have some fun. One thing you had never liked about your hair was how natuarally straight it was. But after being in the same bun all day once you pulled it down your hair fell in soft waves around your face and you couldn't help but smile. For once you felt pretty, tonight was going to be great.
At seven thirty you grabbed your phone and slipped it into your back pocket. Opening your door you went to step out into the hall and ran into Dean, literally. "Whoa!" he said, catching you by the shoulders and looking down at you, his eyes grew wide when he took in your apperance. He'd always thought you were beautiful but right now he could actually see that you felt beautiful too, and it made him happy.
"Sorry Dean! I swear I didn't see you," you said laughing. You both began walking down the hall toward the main entrance. You noticed out of the corner of your eye that Dean kept looking at you. "Is there something on my face?" Dean looked over at you with confusion, "No, why do you ask?"
"Cause you keep looking at me, oh crap I look bad don't I? I knew I couldn't pull off trying to actually look decent. Maybe I should go change again," you turned around like you were heading back to your room when Dean grabbed your wrist stopping you. "No Y/N, you look great, I just kept looking because, um, well I," Dean rubbed the back of his neck and looked you up and down. "Is that my shirt?"
You looked down at yourself and realized it was in fact Deans shirt you were wearing, "Oh, I forgot I borrowed it from you, sorry do you want it back?" Dean shook his head and smirked, "Nah, looks better on you anyway." You smiled and blushed at his comment, turning back to continue walking. Dean grinned behind you, loving the fact he made you blush. Sam was waiting by the door, once you got outside everyone climbed into the Impala. Dean and Sam up front, you in the back. It took all of fifteen minutes to reach the bar. You'd all come here pretty often since you had moved into the bunker. It was a decent bar and usually had some live entertainment that wasn't halfway bad.
Walking inside you immediately scanned the room looking for Jordan. Soon you spotted him, leaning against the bar and ordering a drink. You quickly made your way over and stood behind him, crossing your arms you immediately put on your sassiest front, "Excuse me sir, would you happen to know what a girls gotta do to get a drink around here?" Jordan turned at the sound of your voice and grinned, "Baby I could name quite a few things you could do for a drink." He winked at you and you both started laughing. Sam and Dean were standing behind you, Dean glaring daggers at Jordan. You all ordered drinks and once they were made Jordan picked up two and took off for a corner of the bar. "Come on Alex is saving us a table."
After winding your way through the crowd you arrived at a table in the back and noticed a man sitting there looking at a laptop. You shook your head and walked up to the edge of the table, "One of these days that damn thing is gonna get tired of the constant use and crap out on you."
Alex looked up and smiled brightly, "Y/N!" He stood from his seat and pulled you into a hug. You both smiled as you pulled away and you sank down into the seat beside his. Jordan took the seat on your other side and handed Alex a drink. Sam and Dean took the last two seats across from you, Dean obviously annoyed that he couldn't sit beside you.
For the next hour you and the boys swapped stories and caught up on what had been happening the past few years. By now you had tears in your eyes from laughing so hard, you had been telling the story of how you met the Winchesters and both Jordan and Alex were laughing with you. Sam just grinned and Dean looked irritated and continued drinking his whiskey. "And so I make my way quietly into the back of the room to check out whats going on, and I see these two idiots surrounded by five vamps. Dean here is being a smartass and riling up the bastards while Sam just gives him his best bitch face."
Sam grins, "I was pissed at Dean, he made us go in all "guns blazing" cause he assumed there were only two vampires." You smiled and looked at Dean, you had noticed he wasn't being his usual fun and charming self and was beginning to wonder what was wrong. Dean looked up at you and smiled, "Nah man, the way I remember it we both just figured, what the hell lets see what happens." Alex laughed, "Yeah that sounds like ninety percent of Jordans plans."
Jordan shot him a look and you giggled. "Anyway once I realize the vamps are solely focused on them I quietly snuck up behind one and chopped his head clean off. At that point I had everyones attention." Dean remembered that moment exactly. He had looked up to see the body of a headless vamp fall over revealing the woman standing behind it, machete dripping with blood. His first thought was how badass you looked. "Yeah Y/N, you made quite an entrance," he looked at Jordan. "She stands there for a second and then looks at the head vamp, "Sorry, I know I wasn't invited but sometimes a girl just wants to feel included."
Alex looked at you in astonishment, "Then what happened?" You looked at Sam and Dean and smiled, "I made some new friends." Both men looked at you with love and pride in their eyes. You had taken out two more vamps that night while they finished the remaining two. As soon as the bodies were disposed of you all had made your way outside. The boys had been in awe of your abilites and asked if you wanted to team up for awhile. You had agreed deciding what could it hurt and the rest, as they say, was history.
Everyone had calmed down a bit from all the laughing and Sam noticed everyone was low on drinks. He stood up and looked around, "Another round?" Everyone agreed and Jordan stood up, "I'll help you carry them." The two walked off towards the bar, leaving the three of you alone. Dean stood up, "I'll be right back," he said making his way towards the bathroom.
As soon as he was out of ear shot Alex looked over and leaned towards you, "Okay spill, how long has that been going on?" You looked at him with confusion, "Huh?" He rolled his eyes and motioned in the direction Dean had went in. "Honey that man has not been able to take his eyes off of you all night and I could practically see the steam come out of his ears when we sat beside you."
You rolled your eyes and leaned back in your chair, "Nothing is going on there. We're just friends." Alex looked at you carefully and studied your face. "You love him, but you don't think your good enough for him." You looked up and into his eyes, you grimaced. "I never was good at hiding the truth from you, was I?" Alex put his arm around your shoulder and pulled you into his side, laying your head on his shoulder you sighed. "He only thinks of me as a friend, he would never think of me as anything else."
Seeing his friend hurting made Alex feel like someone had taken a rusty spoon and dug into his heart. "Y/N, I don't know what signs you are missing or avoiding. But in the short time I've spent around you both tonight, it's obvious he cares about you. And I mean as more than a friend." You lifted your head to look at him with your brows raised. Before you could say anything Sam and Jordan came back with more drinks.
