》Zach's POV

"Why do you care so much?" I rolled my eyes at her.

"Hm, Yeah lets see, maybe she doesn't feel the same way, but lets not forget that you two are supposedly bestfriends. Regardless if you had feelings for her or not, you knew it would hurt her. And the fact you were her bestfriend too makes it much worse,"

"She didn't seem to care," I lied

"You know her better. You know she would, thats why you did it in the first place, right? You were hoping she'd say something so you could too,"

"How would you know? Love is bullshit"

"If so, why was this so important to you? Why were you so afraid to say anything about how you felt to her? Why do we need it? Why do you need her?"

I stare at the glass infront of me.

Jemma scoffed at me.
"Thought so, now I'm going to do what you should be doing, maybe help her pack for her flight too,"

"Flight?" I question, confused.

"Oh you forgot that too? She still lives in Dallas. Not everyone has your life, Herron. See you I guess,"

I watch her walk out of the cafe, presumably to the house.

》Amber's POV

"I honestly feel like the worst person on earth, I can't believe myself," Jemma said to me apolegetically as I rested on her shoulder.

I smilled slightly. I got my bestfriend back.

"He messed it up so bad," Jack said, the anger evident in his voice.

"Thats true but he's still a young teenage boy," Corbyn brought up.

"That was still a dick move to pull, and he knew it," Jonah protested.

"He'll be a dick if he doesn't try make this right. The chemistry has been there ever since they became friends, even when the three of us were a thing, and it'll be a waste if it was lost," Jemma stated, reminding me of the times when he was still in school with us.

Thoughts spun around my head as tears slowly dripped down my face.

"Hey there, it'll be fine, he's just really stupid,"

I thought about all the times we spent together. All the crushes i gushed over with him. Did I never catch the jealousy that rang in his voice. We were extremely close, too close for comfort, but everyone except myself realised that. He was the only boy that was always there for me, wherever, whenever.

As everyone whispered above my head, I took out my phone and search through everything that could remind me of Zach.

I come across the conversation I had with Zach.

"no matter what happens i'll be here for you,"

The very day Tyson and I split. The day I thought I lost Jemma forever. The day I knew Zach.. would be with me always.

"I'm the stupid one," I blurt out, another river of tears flowing out once again.

"Calm down, its fine," Jack squeezed my hand.

Jack makes for a very good fake boyfriend. That should be his job, forget about singing.

I show Jemma the conversation, and soon enough she was sniffling along with me.
