Zach, today is the day.
The day you will admit your feelings.
I swore to myself.I did this almost every week, obviously failing.But today i will do it.
Ask I pressed the doorbell to the Ekin's household,I replayed in my head how I had planned for it to happen.
"Well hello,Zach!" Amber's mom greeted me.We went over to each other's houses very often so the parents were very used to seeing either of us at their doorstep.
"Hello Mrs. Ekin," I replied as she let me come in.
"Amber's in her room,let me know if you two get hungry," She said flashing me a warm smile.
"Sure will," I quickly made my way to Amber's room.
"Zaaaaaach what took you so long?" Amber groaned as she pulled me into a hug.
"Sorry, but I do have something to tell you.
Her beautiful eyes lit up when I said that.
"I have something to tell you too,but you can go first,"
"No,no. Ladies first,"
"You sure"
"Very."
"Okay then,"
She crossed her legs on the floor as she asked me to sit infront of her
"Go on Am, I won't stop you,"
"Ok,Tyson asked me to be his girlfriend,"
fuck.
"and i said yes!"
She sprung up from her position and started hopping like a bunny.
A very happy bunny.
I was dumbfounded.
Heartbroken.
I fucking missed my shot to that Tyson guy, who she said she didn't like
I stood up,only to be hugged by a very happy Amber. I hugged her,pulled away and flashed her a smile.
A fake one.
"Congrats Amber,but didn't you say you didn't like him back when your friends told you he had a crush on you?" I asked her, confused at every event that has consisted of her complaining about Tyson.He could be using her for all we know.
"Well,I guess feelings do change sometimes," she said shrugging my question off as she continued on about how he had asked her out.
My broken heart held onto those six words that she had said.
"I guess feelings do change sometimes"
"So Zach, what did you want to say?" Her emerald eyes looked up at me as her head rested on her palms.
Should I tell her how I felt?
I mean what else could I sa-
My phone vibrated.
