The loud music pierced through Calum's ears as he struggled his way out of the crowd. His eyes were dangerously low from how dozzed off he already found himself, the boy inconsciously banged his head to the beat of the music. His body frequently clashed against everybody else's but he didn't mind, letting it flow as the people around him moved to the numbing sound. He finally forced his body to remain quiet, stumbling behind a bit when he did so.
"Tory?" Calum muttered, his lips barely moving. The boy frowned at the brunette strands of hair bouncing to the beat, he reached out to the girl by grabbing her moving arm. The girl stared blankly back at the boy, confused as to why he was touching her arm.
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" She asked to the boy who tried to follow the motion of her lips, the noise making it impossible to hear anything. Calum pressed his lips, analyzing every detail of the girl's features, shaking his head lightly once he realized those weren't her lips, nor her eyes.
He stepped back slowly, losing his touch on the girl's arm. He was starting to think his mind was playing tricks with him, by alucinating the one thing he most craved to see. Calum's heart ache when he glared around him, not recognizing one single face as the one he was looking for -- the one girl with pretty lucious pink lips; small, deep brown eyes and the dark brown hair that fell all over her shoulders. She would spend her days swinging her hair back and forth, addicted to the thought of never ending fun -- and Calum became addicted to the thought of her.
He daydreamed about her laying next to him, tracing his skin with her finger as she revealed to him her craziest dreams and ideas; like she once did. Calum had her to himself from once in a while but that was never enough for him, the boy grew too emotionally attached to the girl without realizing -- and it was killing him inside.
Truth is her heart never set in one place, she enjoying the feeling of belonging to the world. The world was hers to play with, but the girl was unfortunately lacking any type of sensitivity for others or their feelings. She hurt Calum consecutively without any realization of it.
The boy's only way out was to numb his pain by making sure he never stayed sober. He could ignore the fact that his mother was an alcohol addict who got violent way too often; he could ignore the fact that his father and sister left him behind, all alone; he, also, could ignore the fact that his friends didn't actually care about him, only staying in contact due to the possibility of needing something from the boy; to finish, he could even ignore the that he was months in debt to pay his house bills, and would be kicked out any day now. But the one thing Calum couldn't ignore was that the only person he had genuine feels and care for didn't even make an effort to retribute the boy's feelings.
|| a/n || i know this is sad asf but stay with me alright. this was just a lil introduction to the story so you know more about calum and what he's going through. also i've already said this but it's obvious there'll be a lot of mention to drugs .. so you're warned. also i'm not saying any of this is okay .. clearly he has a lot of issues uses drugs to escape them but it's obviously not okay.
ps: i have no idea of who the characters actually look like, so for now you're free to imagine tory and any other character as you please.
if you liked this lil chapter show some appreciation with a vote :) comment what u think also if you're feeling like it.
