A/N: this story is gonna be a freaking slow build(like a lot of just casual time with Ito family and Kai+ Satou) bare with me.  Enjoy the calm(aside from Satou's  shenanigans) cause  once we hit keis arc(well Satou arc where uh some things happen) we all fucked.

By the time you reached the steps of the Ito family everything came crashing down. You found yourself stopping before you could enter, falling to your knees and just grasping your head.

This was too much to take in. But in the end you had to suck it up, you were going to save Tanaka.

You had to no matter how scared you felt when that gun was pointed at you. But even so you cried, letting the tears that had been building up for hours return. Dying wasn't easy, sure you acted unfazed the other times you've died but that was shock playing a part of it. Rendering you to only throw away the death in exchange for another subject, it was an unhealthy coping mechanism maybe but it felt better to just laugh off your death or just plain ignore it.

Otherwise you'd be in this exact position more often. You were fine for the past month but whenever it got even remotely close to July. It ended up like this, you got a bit more emotional. Happened last year and it'll happen for awhile you're sure.

You wanted your dad, you wanted to be normal and wake up to him cooking breakfast and letting you drink coffee.

"I want my dad..." You cried out, before stifling your mouth alarmed at saying it so loudly. "Please help me."

But he wasn't ever going to be able to help. You knew this but you always ask.

Standing up after a few minutes, you opened the door with the keys slipping off your shoes and whipping the stray tears.

"Deep breathes, suck it up. You'll be fine." You repeated over and over, passing the living room. Momentarily you stared at the two sleeping teens, both still knocked out, upon confirming that they were asleep you hurried to the bathroom for a bath. "Stop crying you big baby. It's pathetic....suck it up." It was a mantra repeated over and over, something you remembered using even a year back.

"Crying is good for you."

You looked up at the ghost as it sat down next to you beside the tub, gently it set a hand on your head and just rubbed it. You then looked back down at the water, a mixture of red mixed in it from your face. Wanting to ignore just what it said, you scrubbed furiously into your skin ridding the rest of the blood as much as you could.

All the while, Deer stayed silent.

Once the shower was done you got dressed in your pajamas, grabbing pillows and blankets from your room and heading to the living room. Huffing you picked her up, careful to not awaken her and walked towards the couch that Yuuto was currently snuggled upright on. You set her down beside him before throwing a blanket on him, he gripped it and shoved himself deeper into the couch.

Wiggling in next to Maeko you covered both of you in the same blanket, feeling her shift and rest her head on your shoulder. You rested your own head on her and shut your eyes after watching Deer crouch on the headrest and just watch.

--

Opening your eyes, caused you to squint from the sudden ray's in your vision. The living rooms window wide open with the traces of sunrise peeping in and bothering you. You sat up slowly, rubbing your crusty eyes with minor annoyance.

That's what you get for crying you guess.

You could hear light chatter between voices, one more unfamiliar than the typical ones you hear and you got curious. Standing up off the couch you shook a leg, ridding it of the numbness before walking quietly to the kitchen. Peeking around the doorway you locked eyes with a familiar pair, his mouth quirking to a smile most likely at your shocked expression.
