Chapter IX
180 Degree TurnsRaquel's P.O.V.
Finally! I can go on a date with Tyler without that annoying Ainsley.
Where is he though? He's rarely ever late in school.
I picked my iPhone X from my Gucci handbag and dialed Tyler. It took him 3 rings before he picked up. I almost gave up.
"Hey.."
"Hey Tyler! Where are you? Did you forget about our date?" I asked enthusiastically, covering up any signs of impatience.
"Oh, I didn't. I'm on my way. I was just in a tutoring session with Ainsley." He said, clearly trying to cover up something.
He was with her!?! Can Ainsley Blythe stop meddling with my business? Especially involving Tyler and Mr. Eugene.
Tyler and Mr. Eugene are such gorgeous people! I can't pick!
"Oh okay. But, can you please hurry up? I'm starving... " I whined.
"Sure.."
And then he hung up on me. Like, I thought he would be nicer and not that rude.
After the so called "5" minutes - which was actually a full 15 minutes, he finally showed up.
I was dressed in a pastel pink sundress with a light pink diamond necklace. I'm not gonna lie but yeah, I'm trying to impress him.
I expected high of him. Maybe a leather jacket and jeans. And he showed up with a plain T-shirt and knee-length shorts.
I walked over to him and said,"What are you wearing?!"
"Clothes, obviously." he said, not lifting his head from his phone.
"Yes, I know those are clothes but why are you not trying to look good for me? Are you even trying?" I said, clearly mad.
"Look, I'm trying to be who I am here. Not some rich person like my dad. And if you don't like it, then you don't like me. So just walk out of the door," he calmly stated.
"Fine." I said, trying my best to crack my voice as I hid my face behind my hands and walked out.
"And don't try to dig the empathy out of me. It's not gonna get you anywhere." His voice boomed throughout the café.
I hid my face out of embarrassment and walked out.
Why would he do that to me? I thought he liked me? Why did he make me feel so ashamed?
I paused just in front of the entrance and twisted my head around, where my eyes stared him up and down. He spoke to the barista behind the counter just like nothing had happened, and ordered a drink, but my ears couldn't pick up what he said. I was too busy listening to the beats of my thumping heart being amplified through loudspeakers in my eardrums.
I felt disappointed. I thought that he was better than this.
How could he?!
I deserve someone better than him.
Someone like a certain math teacher.

Eugene's P.O.V.
A lot has happened recently. Yoongi dragging me into a bakery where Ainsley's working at and than her report that I have yet to open.
I was on my usual little walk around, when unknowingly, my legs brought me to the exact same place I met her today.
I must admit, their mocha latte is really good.
It actually made me went there unconsciously.
Or did it?

Ainsley's P.O.V.I was on my last hour in my shift. It was on it's calmest period, the period with the least amount of customers.
I took my blue water bottle and took a nice, long sip.
It was quite a day I suppose, a number of people going here and there, several on a date and several having business meetings.
"Excuse me."
I exhaled, worn out after the group that came 5 minutes ago.
"Yes? May I help you?" I said, looking up.
"Oh! Mr. Eugene! You came back! Did you enjoy your mocha latte?" I smiled.
"Yes actually. I really enjoyed it. I'd like another one please."
"Of course. That would be $3.00." I said, tapping on the monitor.
Like before, he pulled out the exact amount of money. He didn't even look through his wallet.
"So, how's the tutoring going?" He asked.
"Oh, It's okay so far but, when I asked him to do an exercise, he did it in 30 minutes with zero mistakes. We only started an hour before that."
"Huh, that's weird, he came straight to me requesting to be tutored by you. I might have to stop the tutoring if he gets a good score tomorrow on his test."

Raquel's P.O.V.
I walked angrily towards a bakery, said to have one of the best brownies.
I carefully pushed the door open, ringing a small little bell right above the glass door. I looked around and spotted two awfully familiar figures standing on the cashier area, talking.
I squinted my eyes at them, proving evidence that it was indeed Mr. Eugene and that annoying little shit Ainsley.
I puffed out a smoke of air, folding my arms and walked towards the cashier, the same one they were standing.
"Ehm, may I please ord - Oh! Mr. Eugene! It's nice to see you here!" I said, pretending to look shocked.
"Oh hi Raquel" He said in a different tone, different from his usual, velvety voice.

Eugene's P.O.V.I clearly saw her little eye roll behind her 'genuine' smile. It was easy to spot. It's probably just me. I inherited it from my father.
I kept on thinking on why Tyler would take someone's time. I nodded unconsciously as I compiled reasons on that matter.
