Personality: Chynna is a kind, semi sensitive, cheerful girl. She is helpful since she helps out Ms. Dorothy at her shop, and help treat injured or sick students with Fonda. She gets some negative reactions from some of the other students, but she ignores it even though it does hurt her feelings. She is rather oblivious to her own feelings sometimes due to her upbringing, so she is usually confused why she gets angry and even the feeling of love for someone who isn't a family is foreign to her. She is also too trusting since she believes everything her uncle tells her. Because she believes her uncle's words, she aims to be an professional like her uncle wants her to be. She panics whenever she loses an duel because she thinks her uncle will abandoned her if she doesn't live up to his expectations.

Background story: Chynna grew up in her uncle Mortimer's care and fully believes that her parents died when she was two years old. In truth, her uncle had kidnapped her when she was two years old out of jealousy of his younger brother's success in life. As Chynna grew older, she started making her own deck which caught her uncle's attention. Seeing an opportunity to make himself famous by making his niece become a professional duelist, he got a job at Duel Academy and enrolled his niece there. Chynna wasn't suspicious at all nor did she realized that she is just a pawn in her uncle's scheme. She felt going to the academy was a dream come true.
