"Lisanna!" I looked up to see Levy and three other girls, one who looked incredibly similar to Lisanna herself.

My suspicions were confirmed when the older girl with longer white hair called Lisanna her "younger sister" and sat opposite to her. "Hi, I'm Mirajane," the older sister introduced herself. "This is Juvia, and Erza, who is my—"

"—frenemy," the red haired — Erza — and Mirajane said simultaneously.

I nodded curiously. "Nice to meet you. I'm Lucy Heartfilia."

"Oh yes, we know," Mirajane reassured. "Lisanna has told me all about you."

I stared at Lisanna in surprise, my lips parted slightly open. "All good things, all good things," Mirajane continued to laugh, noticing my unease.

Juvia leaned her chin in her palms, elbows rooted on the dining table. "Juvia thinks... we should have a sleepover, to get to know each other a bit more!"

"Oh yes," Lisanna agreed. "I'll invite Levy too!"

Slipping on my coat, I grabbed my bag, following the crowd out of school as school ended. "Hey, Lucy!"

I turned back to see Natsu, his salmon hair messy and wild. "Do you want to join me for dinner? I heard there was a good ramen place nearby."

Blushing, I replied, "Sure! Have you invited anyone else?"

Natsu hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. "Ah, no, they said they're busy."

I rubbed my hands together, half excited and half scared.

Was this a date?

Natsu grinned, tilting his head to the side. He had the widest smile I'd ever seen; it seemed to mock all other smiles. I couldn't help but smile back at him.

Rounding the corner of the street, Natsu and I entered the ramen restaurant. Although it was said to be popular, there seemed to be no guests there, except from an old woman wiping the tables.

She looked towards us. "Are you here for a date? Sorry, we've closed down for today."

Natsu's face fell, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Spicy ramen seemed to be his favourite meal.

"Thank you," I bowed towards the woman. "We'll be leaving now".

I pulled Natsu out of the restaurant, unsure of what to do next. All I knew was that I didn't want him to go — not just yet.

I offered, "U-uh, I have some ramen at home I can heat up.... it's not going to be as good but —"

"For real?" Natsu asked excitedly, almost jumping. I laughed quietly at his abrupt change of mood. "Can I come over?"

Usually, I wouldn't let anyone see my small apartment — trust hadn't come easily, especially when anyone would take the chance to tease me for my family's bankruptcy. But with Natsu, his smile, his warm dark eyes, I felt secrets could be shared between us.

"Yeah," I told him. "Let's go, then."
