Chapter 1 The Move

Chapter 1

"Elizaaaaa?"

"Coming dad."

i jumped off my bed and ran down staris.

"are you ready to go?"

"yeah.." i trailed off.

Hi my name is Eliza! i'm 15 years old, i have a older brother named Josh who is 17 years old. i live with my dad in New York. my mum had a car crash when i was 10. ever since then Josh and i have become really close, he was one of my bestfriends! My dad recently got a new job, in Baltimore. just a couple of towns away. I wasn't too happy about it at first. well i wasn't happy about it at all! leaving all of my friends for some place new just didn't seem like the kind of thing i wanted to do. but seriously what 15 year old girl would want to move, change schools and have to try and make a whole bunch of new friends? not me!

i had become used to the idea after thinking about it for 2 weeks. today was the day. the day that we moved. the day to the rest of our lifes in Baltimore.

"are you all set to go?" dad asked as I picked up a box that was resting next to the front door.

"i'll just put this one in then i've got everything!"

Josh was already waiting in the car. playing some game on his phone, for a family of three we didnt own a lot of stuff. we had a really small moving truck so i went and put the box in the back of the truck before going back to the car.

"hey Liz. you excited?" Josh asked as i sat down in the back.

" actully. i am!" i had two bestfriends at my school, they already said goodbye to me yesterday. which ended up in tears! but it was going to be great getting away from Ashley and Rachel! they weren't the nicest girls!

"what about you?" i asked sticking my head though the two front seats.

"i'm not really sure!" he stuck his face back in his phone.

i sat back down in my seat as dad hopped into the car.

i didn't want to hear my dad talking non-stop (that's something he was really good at!) so i put my headphones in and listened to Blink-182, on shuffle. 'Up all night' came on.

driving through our Neighbourhood for the last time, felt really sad. i had livedhere all of my life, shared so many good memories here. then the bad memories... i was glad to get away from them!

i felt something tapping my leg.

"Eliza.... wake up! we're here." josh said as he pulled my headphone out.

i looked out of the window. this place looked nice enough! green grass, short drive way, a couple of small frit trees was what was in front of the house.

Josh had an evil grin on his face.

as quickly as i could i opened the car door and raced to the front door of the house. i had never been in there before, so now was the time to fight over the best bedroom with Josh.

i opened the door to Josh pushing past me and running up the stairs that were facing the door.

i wasn't far behind him!

i ran into the first room i found. wow! this was pretty cool! opposite the bathroom. the wardrobe had a look of space.

"I WAIT THIS ONE!!" i heard josh call from around the corner.

"sorry son. that's mine!" dad laughed.

"i dibs this one!" i shouted.

i looked around the house a bit. i was already starting to love it here. i guess school will change that! i'm going there next Monday. (in a week) this was going to be fun!
